Losing Boost
I bought a 2014 E63s last year from a local. The car was said to have a an ECC TCU tune and OTS (Stage ?) ECC tune. I can confirm the TCU tune is intact “installed” as I can brake boost and the shifts are much more firm than my previous C218.
I became skeptical of the tune comparing to my previous car that trapped 129-131mph. This car is running 11.4’s @ 122mph (BB intakes, Redstar DP’s with bridge pipes). In addition, I can feel a noticeable fall off in 4th (9.3’s 60-130). It feels like it falls on its face..
I’m very mechanically inclined but when it comes to computers, or more so logging/reading data I’m relatively weak. I’ve just logged the car for the first time, still trying to figure out what parameters to have in HPTuners.. but my understanding is that the MAP (kPa) can be used to measure boost?
If this is true, my car seems to hit 190-200 kPa (13ish PSI) in 3rd, but 150 kPa in 4th and holds steady (noticeably slower).
Anyone have any recommends or inputs?
I can post logs if that might help?
124 trap is normal for 94 octane with no meth. It's a safe tune that doesn't knock and won't destroy your engine.
If your intercooler pump is not running the car will pull power back with no engine light. Check air intake temps.
