This is a little "apples to oranges" based on angle/picture quality/color/etc., but I was bored waiting for the official release :
W212 (E63 top, E63S bottom) Front
W213 Front
W212 (E63 top, E63S bottom) Rear
W213 Rear
W212 (E63 top, E63S bottom) Side
W213 Side
W212 (E63 top, E63S bottom) Front/Side
W213 Front/Side
I like the sides from both, they have different lines but both look good. I like the W212 rear better (hands down). And I like the W213 front better, hood looks awesome, grill looks amazing and so do the air intakes.
I really like the front too other than those vertical slats (but they are growing on me). Although they are so much better than those hideous god awful floating diamond grills.
I don't know, for me I like the overall square shape of the w212 better than this rounded bubble shape on w213. I feel the older one looks more sporty and aggressive.
W213 front looks better but W212 rear looks better.... Hood is hot!
Agree. Love the front. Not sure how I feel about the rear.. the rear design on w212 is hard to beat. Too bad the w212 never came with a hood like that! Much more agressive
The 213 looks good but I think the 212 looks better overall.
In saying that these are just pictures at this stage... I'm keen to see what it looks like in the flesh!
I was saying the same each time a new E-class MY came out - 1995, 2003 and 2010...but in all cases I was in within a year or so and never gave an outgoing model an other look again. However, this 2017 edition might break that trend.
FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).

Now all the flying bugs and critters are going to just get smacked whole right on the radiators. However, the bigger openings will make rinsing them out much easier.
On the other hand, if you have a large chunk of flying object landing right on the radiators, they are going to cost more to replace than the diamond grills.
I'm a wagon man. I'm definitely waiting for OSD to be made available before I re-load. I showed my wife pics of the W213 and she said I'm stupid to even think about swapping. Convo ended there.
Reasons I'm waiting:
+ OSD availability (fingers crossed)
+ Waiting to see real road tests and some owner reviews
+ Hope for more tech/refinement of transmission, etc on later MY
+ Still only have 7,800mi on my W212
+ ... and it really doesn't look that much different than mine, unless I get matte gray with Carbon Ceramic breaks!

Agree and there is no replacement for displacement
Yesterday I drove the E63s first edition, this is such a beast that's just crazy!
Unfortunately this car is too expensive here in Belgium: 185.000€ , then I prefer to buy a Ferrari for this price !
But I enjoyed every second in this car, race mode is just insane such as the launch control ! The sound of the V8 is nice and I like the sound of the exhaust but my Maserati is still the king on the sound side.
The burnmeister is very good and the cars feels like a real sports car.

Anyone knows if 2016 GTS wheels are compat1ble with 2016 E63? is The rear maybe too wide?
Front 5x112 , 19x9 et 61 275/35r/19
rear: 20x11 et68
I ran 275/35/19s on a 9.5" wide wheel on stock suspension for a bit. It rubbed toward the front of the fender liner:
It may be slightly worse on a 9" wheel since that would make the set up overall taller.
On paper, since I have never actually tried it, the offsets on the set of wheels you are talking about are too high. They would hit the suspension.
