Insurance rates?
Searched the forum...Nada
But googling revealed that e63s wagon costs more to insure than e63s sedan? Really - wife may win this one.
Anyone want to share annual insurance costs?
Clean record, married, no kids and way too old

Called my insurance company today
$500 comprehensive/$1000 collision deductible
it would be $1800-1900 a year
NJ insurance is very high as are property taxes
The way I look at it is $100 a month more - so not bad - just look at it as cost of the vehicle ownership
Oh and they said sedan or wagon both would be the same.

i do drive like a grandpa mostly ... this e63S will be a great used car to pass on to someone; I haven't had a ticket since ... 15 years ago; title to all cars gives a small discount and a small professional discount and triple coverage discount (home, umbrella, auto)

dont worry miami isnt going anywhere and by the time the kids are out of the house for you, you can still come down as there are plenty of women down here into old guys (not that you are old now, but like in 10-20 yrs lol)... hell that is the main thing that keeps me single is that i know many decades in the future, i can be 70yrs old down here and still have a 25yr old gf that wont nag and biatch at me all the time

I pay about $850 a year for my 2014 911 Turbo S. My guess is the E63S would be less because it has a lower market value and better safety systems.
However I have a lot of discounts - 5+ year good driver, defensive driving certificate, multi-car, multi-policy, no-claims bonus, etc. Amazingly the insurance company considers me a lower risk driver than my wife because I'm older. Little do they know that I drive a LOT faster than her.
I use GEICO.

my GEICO 'premium' for red wagon came at $560/6 month. Not bad price wise but now I wonder if I should check more 'prestigious' Insurance companies like Chubb or Liberty to get better coverage and service.
Also I'm concerned that cheaper companies like GEICO pushes customers to use 3rd party body shops to save cost and I want to keep my wagon in best possible origin condition.

I used to work for Progressive, so here's my 2c: most all of the big auto insurance companies (GEICO, Progressive, Liberty, State Farm, The Hartford, Mercury, Nationwide, etc) have similar coverage and coverage language. They're all enormous and have massive reserves to pay claims. The biggest difference you'll find is that, for newer E63 owners like me, is the way they assess total loss coverage. In the case of Progressive & GEICO, for example, if you've just paid $120k for your car and it's totaled, you'll only be reimbursed the Actual Cash Value (ACV) of your car, which is what the adjuster thinks your car is worth at the time it was totaled. This amount is almost guaranteed to not be $120k and will be less. Liberty and others will allow you to purchase "like new" options that cost more but, for those who own their cars, you can be reimbursed what you paid, or very close to it.

Rate up!
Went from $1000 annual insurance premium on my A6 to $1600 on the new E63s. $100 deductible comprehensive / $1000 deductible collision. State Farm. Good driver and multiple policy. Feel like I’m getting ripped off.

That does sound a tad expensive. I pay about $600 every six months with Progressive and I have a lower deductible than you. You might want to shop around.

My rates are high in comparison to others here but perhaps were not comparing apples to apples. What coverage do you have? 100/300? 250/500?
I have 250/500 and pay $3K per 12 months. I could save a good amount if I just had 100/300 but as many here that is not a responsible choice.

Mine is $846 every six months with Allstate. That's with multi-car, multi-policy discounts and a clean record.
But where you are and what the policy coverages are makes a difference too. I'm in San Diego, and have $1 M/100 k coverage, $500 deductible, and replacement cost option.

I will say one thing about Allstate. Years ago I was sued by a driver who crashed behind me when friends and I were on our way home from a track day at Willow Springs.
We, along with several other cars, stopped to render what aid we could, called for emergency services, etc., and left statements with the CHP. After a month I get a letter from the driver's lawyer claiming the accident was due to me cutting him off rather than him being a spaz and loosing control trying to make a high speed lane change, which was the case and which was what the CHP officer put in the accident report.
Classic case of ambulance chasing law firm trying to make a their word against ours claim for some quick bucks. Apparently since I was the closest (never closer than 150 yards to the flipping idiot who crashed behind me) and gave the best description of what happened, my statement was the only one in the accident report. Little did the idiots know, I had a couple passengers who also gave statements as did several other motorists - they were on file, just not in the body of the report.
I was sued for $1 M. They hoped Allstate would settle quickly, but based on our strong case and good witnesses, Allstate did not settle and took it all the way to trial. Supported me totally. Brought in an expert witness who actually wrote the book on accident reconstruction that the other side tried to use.
We killed them, would have been funny (there's a lot more to the story) if it wasn't so stressful and such a pain in the A for me, my family, and my passenger friends who had to come all the way up to Lancaster to testify.
Allstate may be somewhat more expensive than other options, but they totally stood by me. I've been with them since I was 16, and with multiple policies for auto, home, etc, and all that, my total insurance outlay as a result is probably lower than if I went with some less expensive coverage for auto and somewhere else for home, and so.

I would like to know the basis for your statement that "The State Farms, Allstates, Progressives are all terrible companies to make claims with."

Not saying it's right or wrong, just the way most auto insurance works.
