MPG on the new 213 Wagon, amazing
Was looking on the UK site and on the configurator they have MPG listed as 36.2 highway MPG and 30.2 combined MPG. If this is true, this is amazing. Could it be that the Euro figures are different as they driving loop is different than the USA EPA uses? But still amazing MPG figures, best I can get out of my 2012 cruising along the highway at 70 mph is 23 MPG. Thats 13.2 MPG better than the 5.5 engines get. I realize they shut down cylinders and the 9 speed auto helps out too I'm sure, but still thats like economy car figures out of a 600 plus HP car. https://www.mercedes-benz.co.uk/pass...?Mcid=M4225759

Awww, ok, your right, imperial gallons, did not think of that. I thought I'd see it measured in Liters and when I saw the symbol MPG and then 36.2, I got kind of excited. So now all I gotta do is convert imperial gallons into US gallons and I can figure out the USA MPG. Edited to say done, looks like the imperial gallon is 20 percent more than the US gallon so that's 7.2 MPG less which is 29 MPG highway on the nose, still not bad at all, 6 or 7 better MPG than my 2012 gets.

whatever you recalculated to be, those figures are most likely in a controlled closed door test facility environment, thus it's not a real world day-to-day representation.

In the partial-load range cylinders two, three, five and eight are deactivated, which crucially lowers fuel consumption.
When the driver has selected the "Comfort" transmission drive program, the cylinder deactivation system is available in the wide engine speed range from 1,000 to 3,250 rpm. The AMG main menu on the instrument cluster informs the driver whether the cylinder deactivation system is in use and whether the
engine is presently operating in the partial or full-load range. The transition from four to eight-cylinder operation is immediate and imperceptible, so that the passengers do not experience any loss of comfort.
