My Nissan GTR has spent most of it's life as a track car. This is because it's transmission is clunky, the ride not super comfy even with he 13' models "comfort" setting for the dampers. In that mode the back end just bounces and the car turns bouncy, not smooth. The E63S Comfort Setting is VERY superior to the GTR comfort setting. The other big key for me is that after some time the rattle of the transmission of the GTR became quite apparent and honestly crappy to deal with on a regular basis. I realize that it's a #RACECAR, but the reality was I was ready to graduate to something with a little bit more refinement. The "RACE" mode on the E63S (not broken in so far so only 4500rpm) is MILES above the GTR in "R" Mode so far. I am going to get miles on it this week and AutoX it this weekend. Will report back.
I put some really good track times down with the 13' GTR with just camber, brake pads, rotors, lines, and fluid with R888R's. But she was a heavy beast and honest I couldn't cut the same laps that I can with my 17' ZL1 with camber plates, pads, fluid. This lead me down the path of modify Nissan GTR with cash or finance out a car that I can just track, the AMG GTR without a ton of mods. I chose to get a AMG GTR and a 4 door comfy car with some power. The Nissan GTR was fun for 2 years. Then it was time to refine and upgrade.
I can't wait to take delivery of the AMG GTR so I can do a back to back assessment but the E63S Edition 1 with CCB's already feels "lighter" than the GTR in the twists and it's 400-500 lbs heavier.

Yes on the wagons. When I test drove the (as yet unsold) Edition 1 at my dealership I got to see and sit in - but not drive - an already sold wagon.

Gorgeous car - enjoy it in good health. You can't use race start until 1k miles but you can activate "drift" mode where its purely rwd. 4500lbs car with 627 ft lbs of torque driven by rear wheels with no traction/stability aids... Lots of pucker moments.

Edition 1 spotted!
Friday afternoon I hopped in the car to go to the local MB dealer to look at the new E63S sedan they have, and to my surprise what did I see on my local road? Edition 1 in the flesh and much better looking than the pics online can possible convey. 1 of 185 in the world... right there.
