No doubt...I feel that MB is short-changing the GT lineup by not upgrading their power levels to that of the E63s. The GTR is at 577. Maybe later in the near future...Anyways, the bottom line is that the E63s has just moved the bar way up in order to be competitive with the likes of the new M5/RS7, etc.

Perfect! Will get the same spacers.
Am so envious of your clean Ed1 right now. Ours is covered in snow/salt in 15 degree weather. At least the Pirelli snows still offer a decent ride. Enjoy!

At home sure but our office building is sans garage. Weather is nasty right now.

But on the positive side, the car is behaving quite well in snow and even though the steering wheel is unheated, the dynamica is comfortable.

Easy (in comfort mode).Tires are decent and the car is quite docile when needed. We have a lot of ice on the road and people are driving like they are sitting in LA traffic. Avoiding idiot drivers is the biggest challenge...

Isn't that the challenge everywhere snow or no snow? haha Happy to hear the car drives well with winter tires on it.

Saw two of these on the road today. Actually they may have been the same car since both were Selenite Grey and sighted in Buckhead.

My wife spotted an Edition 1 near our house yesterday, so someone in North County SD now has one - or maybe they were just passing through. She again commented that she likes our Selenite Grey better. I do like them both, but now prefer the Grey too. But also happy that she's happy . . . :-)

Im happy I have the matte black, the matte gray (magno) is more popular on other models too and I have matte gray on my RS7 IMHO the black is new and not a repeat color like the gray.

And I have had Selenite since 2015 on my GTS. No way I take that color twice in my garage. And thats the color Stealth Pilot was referring too, not matte. FYI.

That matte black is a nice change and a rare sight. The car has a really has a nice presence in the flesh. Similar to the AMG GTC 50 edition, the dark matte makes the car a bit more menacing. Better when dropped of course.

I am thinking of loosing those edition 1 decals though...

Wolf Im holding on to them for now. why? I just dont have a desire one way or the other so for now my Edition 1 will stay intact. I guess if they really bothered me I would and I have no doubt that no one would care from a resale perspective.

Vic,
How do you compare the E63 to your Turbo S?

Its tough to say since the Turbo S is more along the lines of a sports car compared to a GT car. My Turbo S was also a stage 2 machine so it was ripping mid 2 second zero to 60's and trapping over 130.xx even on crap 91. Obviously the Turbo S would out handle the E63S but I tell you that the E63S will hold its on in turns. The E63S is more impressive to me, not only because its a sedan but its also over 4500 lbs and I dont feel like Im ever in a spot of cautiousness even at really higher speeds. From a dig the Turbo S is faster stock vs stock and from a roll it would be closer but the weight and PDK advantage would help the P car. But like I said they are two worlds apart.

update on the rear spacers:

12mm--- the factory snout is still too long and while one can not tell that its not sitting perfectly flush or feel it on the road, my car is on the dyno and the wobble is there. This is not the fault of the spacer manufacturer but its the Benz design of their newer model cars and the elongated snouts. Any one who has rear spacers on at 12mm or less might want to confirm this by having someone watch their wheel at higher speeds or on a dyno.

Edit, had the wrong digits text to me, hp is about 10hp less and tq was about 17 lb/ft up

Teaser on the dyno:
560 whp
587 wtq

stock

Hey Vic,

I am Suppose to be installing the 12mm rear spacers this weekend. Should I hold off? I do not want any wobble or anything messing with the already fragile rear end.

Let me know,

Wow, that's like 660 HP at the crank at about 5200 RPM if the 14% loss figure for the 4matic+ is right.

I would suggest you do not... thats what I had and while the product is top notch its not set up uniquely for the snout in the rear of this car. 15mm will work but then you might rub as it will push the wheel out too much. (you are lowered)

OK, thanks I will hold off for now until they figure out the proper rear spacers.

Thanks and that is a lot of power for a stock car!
