Pics of my 2018 Edition 1 E63S- My 11th AMG!!

Ill do a quick comparo to the tuned RS7 I have (my E63S is tuned too).
Clearly the gains in the tune on the RS7 are greater thru the usable rpm ranges and even peak. Im not sure if this is just a time thing where the tuners have more work to do to untap the M177 engine in the E63S.
Launch: It would be a very close race here. Both cars grip and go and the tq in the RS7 is felt just a bit more but tq is deceiving and not the absolute in speed definition. I would guess both cars are sub 3 seconds to 60 in repetitive conditions. Stock vs stock the cars are rather evenly matched.
Rolling Speed: This is the tricky one as the RS7 Tq curve is as flat as a woman with 32A's. So while the speed grows and the tq pulls- its probably barely faster than my E63S but only because of the net numbers being higher in hp/tq post tune. Stock vs stock the E63S will pull the RS7 no problem. The MCT 9 Speed is more efficient than the ZF8 and the data/tests prove as such.
Handling: Tune or not the E63S is the better car here. The weights are similar but the feel of the E63S, at times, feels like my GTS. Its very planted and firm for its weight and there is minimal understeer in higher speed turns and bends. Its more of sports sedan with luxury while the RS7 is more of a GT cruiser. I can enter and leave turns at higher speeds on the same roads with the E. The confidence factor is here where the weight is not felt (as much) Again the proof is the tests and I back those up with my personal thoughts.
I love driving both after parking the other. They both have different dynamics tuned; the RS7 is brutal with heavy tq thrusts and pulls while the E63S (still torquey) uses its more effective hp in the higher rpm range to accelerate. There are alot of RS7's pulling higher 10's with tune only on 93 octane and the E63S is just getting started but I do think the trap speed on the RS7 at the quarter will be just a small amount faster. How the cars would fare past that is a crap shoot with maybe the E pulling beyond by a nose.

I was just wondering why they do it, haha.
What year was your RS7? Been trying to decide between a 2014-2016 E63S or RS7 and can't figure out which to get!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Mine was a 2017 Performance Edition which had an msrp much higher than my E63S (150 vs 136). I do miss parts of that car because there is no perfect sedan that covers all of my needs but the E63S comes the closest yet. I have yet to drive an F90 M5 so I will not judge.

Supreme Power in Fullerton, CA--- they are a sponsor here.
Yes we had to change the bolts to longer ones but they come with the kit if you get them from Supreme.

Not best picture as Rims are blacked out! tuned by DMS 720bhp 1000nm torque its super car fast. Going to drop the front a bit more as there is space

. And of course, this set had the 4S tires- so I got lucky. The car feels every bit as fast as advertised and the handling is shocking for the weight of this car. No wonder it turned out the time it did at VIR with such amazing exit speeds. The car is dropped with the OEM links; my tech in Huntington Beach is adept at such mods and it took all of 45 min to make it happen. The car is very taut but also very level with hardly any roll- I run the Sport setting for the dampers (one light). The throttle is a bit slow as it takes about a 50% input to get it moving, but that's also because I'm used to tuned cars where the throttle is more sensitive. The steering is good with mild, very mild, understeer in hard bends and turns and I can not believe this car weighs over 4500 lbs they way it moves and how I am able to drive it. I have had limited miles with the car so I need even more to give further perspective but for now its definitely one of the best handling sedans I've owned, if not the best. I have the acoustic package which makes the exhaust note inside more muted which I don't like. When we were under the car we checked to see what we could remove from a resonator standpoint and there just aren't any. It looks like its similar to my GTS set up with just a post cat attached to the DP. I think I might pull that off at some point.
I will say that my current RS7 with a tune feels just slightly faster from a roll and is more violent from a dig but the car is pushing 700 hp and 725+ lb/ft of torque.
Some minor mods:
Painted front grill (plasti dip)
Wrapped door handles
Wrapped Rear Bar
30% Tint
Lowering
15mm front spacers (I need smaller rears still)
Xpel Stealth Clear Bra
Big thanks to Benzworks (sponsor here) for lowering the car and installing the spacers. The pics are from my cell phone so I'm sure I can do better

Great looking car.. I am curious with this being your 11th AMG what are your top 3 you have owned?
There are 4 links under the car next to each wheel and each sets a ride height based on the link angle. In the front, my tech pulled a bolt out of the link which allowed him to adjust the angle. He did this on both the front ones to achieve the height. On the rear he had to manually adjust each wheel's links but changing the angle or length of the link. Once he did all those to the 4 corners, we lowered the car on the rack to the ground, started the engine, put it in sport plus, hit the raise/lower button, and allowed the car to settle. The first run yielded the fronts to be even with each other but too low for me (under 26 inches fender to ground) and the left rear was spot on while the right rear was a half inch too high. He raised the rack and adjusted the front two again and the right rear. Once we re cycled the car on the ground, it was all perfect with the front sitting about 26 3/8 inches fender to the ground and the rear at 26 1/2 inches.
If you have a tech that knows his stuff, there is no need for a module or even the adjustable links. My tech at Benzworks is that guy.

No dealer will do this for you Im afraid. I would instead do a search here for the module on Ebay or Amazon as thats the more practical approach then getting under the car and its pretty cheap. I did my drop back in 17 and the module was not readily available except for the 1000 dollar plus ones hence my choice to have my indy tech do the manual adjustment. I ultimately got one on Ebay for about 350 bucks and used that since I could adjust from the cabin.
