Seriously, why would anyone post this as the first question on their new car?? Suggestion to OP: read the manual and break-in period materials. Suggestion to everyone else: avoid this car when it hits the secondary market.

What an f***d way to respond to someone. And exactly which section was he supposed to post this in? Sorry to interrupt your delicate morning.
Sounds like somebody is Jealous or something, not a crazy question. The last Gen was harder to put into launch mode and required a series of procedures like holding both paddle shifters, not so in the W213. Just in anything above sport mode hold the brake pedal to the floor and the gas pedal at the same time and when you dump the brake the car launches. But yes this feature will not work unless the car has over 1000 miles as I remember and I believe all the windows have to be up and seat belts of occupants fastened. Personally I'd wait until over 2K miles to do this as the rear end is still breaking in at just 1K miles.
I got mine to engage into it at 7 miles inside the showroom when I was being taught how to do it. As a side note. I did try again yesterday and I got the same error message and I have 3200 miles on the car and did it the correct way and the car was already at proper operating temp.
