Only one way to find out. I will lower it 5-7mm and take pix. I am quite sure it will be tucked. I am at -22mm and -20mm now.

They searched their database and nothing populated for a 21 inch tire for the E63S with the proper load index. Then I remembered, I saw that you, @ryandeeez , have the 285/30/21 on the front. I asked about that size and it does carry the proper load index so I ordered them(no charge since I had the hazzard/replacement certificates even though for a different tire than the ones ordered... WHEW!!!). Then the sales associate tells me that the rear, 305/25/21 is not the proper load index and said the rear ones might suffer the same fate. Ughhhhhh. They won't mount any tires and have the incorrect index load, even though they did last year, however, they did not check for the proper index load. So now I am trying to find rears in a 21 with the proper load index. I might have to go else where just because they won't mount the rears. I obviously would rather have the proper tires.

That's a bit unnerving, I'll have to keep an eye on mine. I'm running 265/30/21 and 30/25/21 ps4s on my car.

Having a quick look it appears like a front tire is 1565 lb max @ 50 psi per front and 1653lb max @ 50 psi

I know nothing about anything but wouldn't that be pretty much work for a 6436 lb car?

Ordered Michelin PS4S in a 325/25/21 for the rear. They are the proper load index. I just hope they fit. Discount tire said they should. Details to come.

285/30/21 (Front) and 325/25/21(rear). I had to use the module to raise it up quite a but from the setting I originally had in the rear.

Did you managed to lower it another 5-7mm? And any rubbing with your specs?

Too high still?

Personally I would drop this bad boy another 8-10mm. I am just high enough not to scrape.

Apologies for the lack of aftermarket wheels I would destroy 21's.

Thank you, the awesome thing about the vlad unit is that you can adjust it, get out and look (with your photographer friend in this case) and then adjust it again lol. This is version 20 of my stance.

Very cool and it is an awesome thing. I can't wait to get my module.

I did my last car on coilovers and I'd spend most of a Saturday adjusting... only to do it again on another Saturday. A total pain in the a**.

Being able to just push a couple of buttons without a piece of dirt getting on your hands almost seems too good to be true!

It won't rub in the front but definitely will rub in the back. I think going with a 315/25/21 in the back instead of the 325 will allow me to lower it another 5 to 7mm.

Can you post up a bunch of rear shots to see how wide 325 sits on the car and fenders.

From the rear, it must look super wide and aggressive which is super nice!!

Not mine but I believe these are Wheelforce CF.2-FF in bronze. 20x9.5 ET 25 and 20x10.5 ET 42 if I am not mistaken. Maybe someone can chime in to confirm?

Seeking advice.

Reaching out to the collective audience for some advice.

I'd like to pick up a new set of wheels for my 2018 Wagon, but there seem to be so many different specifications, for so many different looks that it makes the head spin. I have read through the thread here and think I've boiled it down to a couple of specs., but would like fellow forum members to make sure I am doing this correctly. I'd hate to waste a good chunk of change on a set of wheels that 'poke' or leave too much wheel gap, or look sunken etc.

So here are the two specs I'm considering:

20x10 +18F (courtesy of apsuard)
20x11 +52R

20x10 +18F (courtesy of izzy63)
20x11 +52R

Both of these would have tires in 275/30/20Front - 305/30/20Rear.

Because of the road conditions/quality here in Frankfurt, Germany and the use of 'non-rounded' curbs everywhere, I have no intention of lowering the wagon, nor do I want my spleen ruptured with 21" wheels. :-)

Ay help is appreciated!

Thanks for your time.

Mike

My research reading here shows the ideal 20" spec seems to be
20x10 +10 Front
20x11 +52 Rear
275/35 front and 305/30 rear

Opinion is front could be moved outside even a littler further a few mm but I haven't seen anyone do it yet.

If I were doing it ...

Front: 20 x 10 ... +16 or + 17 offset would be like putting in a 15mm spacer. I think that would pretty well max out the limit without rubbing the fender. Tire size would be 275/35/20
Rear: 20 x 10.5 +50. Tire size would be 305/30/20.

Of course, finding the right load ratings for those tires may also be a challenge

bobblehead, you just threw a curve ball at me. 😃

I wish I knew more about offsets to truly comprehend which would work/look better.

Good advice and I've been using that website for years when doing wheels and tires.

Something else I do is once you've calculated what you want to do, take that difference from your current setup, say your new setup sticks out 30mm more as an example... cut a stick or something rigid 30mm long and run that along your current tire sidewall (sticking out) and it will provide a visual around your fender opening to see if you're close.

For example here is the specs I mentioned they stick out 22m more then stock (difference in poke)

And the much safer specs bobblehead posted stick out 16mm more then stock (again the difference in poke) and pepole frequently run 15mm spacers on the front with stock wheels, so guaranteed his setup will fit.

The setup I'd think about will poke out another 6mm more then bobbleheads suggestions which I think will be fine but could also look dumb and rub but I'm banking on this guy's post here:

https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg/...ml#post7885466

Here's that site with the front numbers calculated first with +10 then when +16 offset:

I’ve tried to use sources such as the above listed website in the past, but it still leaves me in a state of indecision.

I guess I’m just trying to go with the safest spec that will still provide me with a somewhat flush look. If that makes any sense… LOL

I wish it were that easy for me. Access to tools and a work bay here in Germany is tough, not to mention the need for finding spacers from a reputable company.

The wisest and easiest approach for me is to hammer out the details and “buy once, cry once”.
