New Car Factory Oil
Does anyone know if the cars come from the factory with synthetic or non-synthetic oil?
Asking bc certain engine break-in "authorities" advocate not suing synthetic during break-in.

but e63 4.0 litre engine requires much more than 6.5 litres. The owners manual is not updated with the e63 engine requirement.
Castrol site says our e63 requires 9 litres for oil change. I checked w205 c63s needs 9 litres.
can someone confirm which is correct ?

Was that info from the regular manual or the AMG supplement?
I thought it was something closer to to the 9.5 L value posted above.
First oil change is at 10,000 miles, so I'm guessing that's not dino oil and must be a synthetic.

From what I know I'd think the original fill oil would be non synthetic as synthetic oil is not the greatest for seating piston rings and that sort of thing. Also as far as capacity goes, yes, just a shade over 9L. I'd go more towards the slightly lower spec and top off if necessary, nothing worse than overfilling and having to drain and without a dipstick it's a little more tricky.
