10.9 is respectable for a tuned car depending on the conditions. Nice run.

Would be interesting to see info from Vbox, Dragy, or Track Pace showing 60 to 80 mi/h times, 60 to 100 mi/h, 100 to 200 km/h, or whatever the commonly tested rolling speed increase interval is.

That way traction control, torque limits, pavement prep issues and such are taken out of the equation.

Assuming level ground and similar wind conditions, seems like it would be another good indication of how the tunes compare.

The 1/8 and 1/4 mile times are interesting, but for practical daily driving and canyon carving, the drivability and rolling acceleration are of more interest to me.

What car was in the right lane? Was hoping traps would be closer to 130. Hopefully the tunes progress as the car ages

Whatever it was, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it was RWD and pretty powerful...

Yeah it was a older track focused Mustang. I also went up against the a McLaren 570s for the fun of it.

I figured.

How does the rear-end of a 570S look at over 100mph?

The car may have be a loaner, as he was running in the mid 11s. I believe he has a 12c

Just to shed some additional light on this thread, our tests were unfortunately performed on 91 octane, California pee-water fuel. Eurocharged is pumping 93 octane which does make a pretty large difference!

Hey Moe,

Have you had a chance to get any testing done with 93 Octane gas?

Ricky at Platinum is my local tuner here in Charleston SC so I'd rather go with your tune if it is on par or compares favorably to the others.

Surprisingly enough, I do in fact. I determined through consistent back-to-back tests that I can choose the shift-point more optimally than the launch control system does. I cannot, however, launch the car anywhere near as fast with a simple punch the pedal maneuver... so what's the middle ground you may ask? Good question : I turn off traction control (it does interfere); suspension on soft allows the car to absorb the rear squat a little better (but I'm already way lowered so it's relative to that); slam the brake; slam the gas (normal so far); launch engages... once it does, pull the left (downshift) paddle--this disengages launch control once you're moving but be ready to change up at about 6K... repeat this all the way up the gears. This is the method I've used to repeatedly improve earlier times.
So are you paddle shifting the whole time, or is the car still auto shifting?

Paddles the whole time. The only tough-to-nail part is the 1st gear ceremony of left-paddle, wait... right-paddle but if you get that and the shift to 3rd nailed it gets easier from there.

Yeah I see what your saying. Only problem I can see myself having is not paddle shifting always perfectly whereas in auto there is no room for user error on shifting which would of made this more simple

Right. Completely understood. If the goal is to launch as fast as mechanically possible, then taking over the gears immediately after launch will give you a tenth or two.

Unfortunately not - We just don't have access to 93 here in SoCal. I wish! However if you pump 93 on our tune, the car will be able to take better advantage of the higher octane and will be even safer under boost.

Seems like if someone were to get your tune at a discounted rate they would be willing to run it with 93 octane on the dyno for you ... hypothetically speaking
