How to remove fender's vents?

Hi all,

Does anybody know how to remove fender's vents? I was drying a car with the microfiber towel and accidentally have broken a clip under that, I'd like to take it off and fix it. Any tips on it?

There is no adhesive. They are two rubberized plugs they fit in. Just pry it gently out.

thanks for correcting me. I had to reorder the lettering alone (adhesive). The black swoosh went back in without issue. Thanks and sorry. Original post edited.

Does anyone have a picture of the holes after the vents are removed? Contemplating of removing them to complete the sleeper look.

I think you can only remove the lettering. Those are stuck on with adhesive. The vent looking thingy is fitted into holes in the fender. I ordered my 2019 de-badged rear deck lid and fenders.
Cheers,

They replaced my vent thingy/swirlly badge under warranty.

The rear pin snap had broken. Sounds like something similar to your case, except that I didn't snag a towel on it to cause the failure. The towel snagging after the fact was what alerted me to the failure.

My driverside, upsidedown "Nike" swoosh, CF emblem had two broken pins which were this way when the car arrived. I am having a protective film put on the front end, hood and front fenders this week, so I brought the car in show my SA the broken pins first so that the film installers would not be blamed. Fortunately, they agreed to replace the emblem, but I enquired about what the price for the emblem is anyway. A whopping $489 for the little swoosh!!

Probably mine was broken before I noticed, who knows. However, it's too late )))

So I ordered air knives in black, how do you install these? do you need any 3m tape or does it fit right into the same holes and nothing else is required.

It should snugly engage the grommets without the need for tape.

Doesn’t want to stay in place and keeps pooping out on the last one.
Guess tape is the only choice.
Any other ideas?

I ordered matte black windows trim (since my car regrettably didn’t have the night package) and these swoosh emblems. It was a total of 14 pieces and the total was a hair under $2000. I believe the matte black swooshes (can’t speak about The carbon fibre or aluminum trim) were less than $150 each. It would be ridiculous for the same pieces in carbon fibre to cost THAT much more. I would look into contacting some of these OEM parts websites. I used the same guy OCD (Anthony) used. These dealers are a joke. They were quoting the same pieces for well over $4000, and even that was just some bullsh*t number he seemed to be making up.

Thank you for sharing. Will be ordering black now that I know it's this simple to swap. One of my least favorite design elements, and the black will do a great job of hiding them on my wagon.

Finally opened the box. You’re right in that it’s gloss instead of matte. It’s supposed to match the window trim.

Beautiful. The window trim is also gloss black... you didn't get those pieces yet?

Let us know how the install goes and don't hesitate to contact me for moral support. Haha

Also, be careful when removing trim as some of the pieces may drop like those little grommet things. Sometimes they stay in the car and sometimes they come out attached to the trim or drop on the ground.

I’ve received all of it. Just haven’t had time to do the work yet. Planning on doing it within the next couple of weeks. Excited to finally remove all of the chrome/aluminum on the car. I will say that the hardest pieces to order were the swoosh decals. Mike had mentioned to me that they are out of stock everywhere and they were expecting a shipment to get here from Germany, in case anyone else was interested in using that particular vendor you recommended.
