opinion and actual user experience on carbon fiber interior trim
Carbon fiber interior trim looks awesome but wondering if it will be good combo with nut brown interior? For those who have this trim, how is your user experience? Is it holding up well? does is scratch easily? swirl marks etc?
Ordered E53 in Lunar blue and nut brown leather.
Thanks for your input.

I don’t see why the carbon fibre trim wouldn’t go with but brown. I say go for it. It doesn’t catch dust or swirl like piano black. Looks awesome too. Nice colour combo!

It's a good choice on the car, given what else is available. The coating on the CF seems durable; I don't see any scratches on it...

It looks good but not for $3000.

trim and center console are two different options.
both can be chosen in CF.

Oh ok. This question about cup holder COVER doesn't make sense since if you're ordering trim for the central console it will be fully covered with chosen trim style.

2012 CLS63
While I don't have a brand new car, my 63 has CF trim and has held up really, really well.......if not great! No fading, scratches or anything. Keeps it's shine very well. I'd imagine the CF they're using today is just as good or better than in 2012.
The blue paint with brown leather sounds really, really nice too. GL.

Maybe I kick myself for the piano black, I don’t know. But most of it it the cup holder/phone charger holder which will be open 90% of the time...for me anyway. We’ll see. YMMW

The picture posted has the piano black center console - which is not available with the CF trim package (provides a CF center console)...
The metal weave is a very similar pattern to CF trim, but comes with the PB console. What does your window sticker say? Do you have a piano black center console?

Whatever it it, it looks great with the nut brown interior! I had a hard time choosing between the brown and macchiato beige, but ultimately chose the beige with CF trim. Is that your wagon? That color looks great with the grey magno paint.
