VIN and Netstar codes

Hi @CincyMBGuy
Could you help with the make of my tires? SA informed me as of today my car is built. Does Netstar show any other information on shipping?
Thanks!

Yes my car is CLA2023, it's because I feel like my SA is hiding something from me. Like not knowing the build date or 'hiding' the PO# (took me a while to ask him to give me the PO#) and very hard to reach out to. Which seems fishy to me.
Is it true that they do not know when the expected delivery date / production date?
I do have some questions,
1. I do see Commision number can you please confirm that this is the PO# (10 digit starts with 0)
2. What is "Planned invoice date"? Is this more like a production date or delivery date? Because based on this production codes it is the second to last step (which hints more like a delivery date to me) but I also found a code "Factory invoice" which is closer to "just produced", what do you think it is?
3. Is it normal for the car to be "At factory - in production" for more than a month or this is a glitch?
Thanks

1. That does appear to be a PO number.
2. My assumption would be that is the date the car is planned to be invoiced to your dealership.
3. That is perfectly normal for a month or longer.

None of that sounds nefarious to me. If your dealer took your order before they had an allocation then they would not have been able to provide you with a PO number immediately. As a SA, I'm quite certain that he wants to get you your car as much as you want it yourself. Build dates are given a range before they are given an exact date and even then, during Covid production issues they have frequently been pushed back. If that is a Netstar screenshot it's a little different than what your Yankee neighbors see down south.

Since you are a SA I do have question regarding the "invoiced to your dealership" can you elaborate a little since this is my first car purchase and I don't know much about sales.
From what I understand, it's when the customer actually pay and it act like a "receipt". So I assume the car should be available in the dealership by then? Or do customers usually pay first before the car arrives?

In recent times, what is the average wait time at VPC if no waivers need to be signed? Dealer destination is Texas, how long does it typically take to move it from Alabama to Texas? My SA mentioned it may take months and I should expect it in 2023.

In recent times it has been a mess. Some cars are out in 48 hours, others get stuck for months. I can't speak to delivery time from Alabama to Texas but I would take your SA's word, he has more experience with his dealership.
