MY19 Launch Schedule

begging to loose confidence in mbusa with all delays and cel
Trip went great, car is a dream to drive on this kind of trip. No new CEL, car ran fine, and I averaged 19.7 mpg for the round trip.
About 50/50 driving manual and cruise. Mix of slow traffic and ~80 mph - thankfully more of the latter.
Hoping the CEL issue has a stake through its heart now.

*rolls eyes*
My wife had a series of 3 GL's until last year, but this was my first time ordering a build-to-order car, and my first AMG.
I ordered my car in June, and was given an early August build date, and told that the car could arrive as early as the last week of September or beginning of October. I was warned by my salesperson that the builds on the AMG's are sometimes delayed due to short supply of AMG-specific equipment that may only be produced in batches when there is a certain amount of demand. So, I patiently waited until late August to contact the dealer about the status of my car. I was thrilled when I was told that the car had arrived in Baltimore. Less so, though, when I was told that there was no release date for the car, no pricing information on the 2019 cars, and no knowledge of when the cars would be released from port. I waited 3 more weeks to contact them again, got the same exact reply, and then emailed again yesterday. Same reply. Same denial of any knowledge whatsoever of what is going on. And this from a very long-term, senior salesperson at one of the country's highest volume MB dealers.
I'm sure my experience is not unique, but it sure is frustrating. Has anyone else received hard pricing info on their not-yet-released or ordered-but-not-arrived cars? I am beginning to lose confidence that the dealer is acting in good faith given the information presented in this thread.

Im not begrudging you being frustrated -- many of us are. But I wouldnt let anecdotal evidence in this thread serve as a basis to accuse your salesperson/dealer of jerking you around.
From my SA - Despite the fact that our ship arrived safely, we are at the mercy of the US Government clearing our newest models for release. Every new arrival must now be re-certified...thank you VW and Diesel-gate...with a watchful eye on emissions, before being released. We will continue to put pressure on Mercedes-Benz Distribution, and I will continue to monitor and keep you posted. From new car Sales Manager -
