So this ship is delayed again and has not yet arrived. Wonder why the journey across the pond is taking all these extra days.

That's ridiculous. I wonder if your car was there so early it got stuck in the back of the lot? I have no idea how they move cars.

Hello,
Mine was also at the Baltimore VPC since July, maybe keeping yours company. I got the message from my SA that it should be in NJ Tuesday.
Good luck,
cheers,

Old news by now, but my SA said they got the car this morning (from Long Beach to Reno). Hasn't sent me pictures yet but I'm excited. Now I have to get that sucker shipped back to the bay area. I was welcoming the snow (for ski season), but now it's an impediment!
I asked for minimal dealer processing, particularly exterior paint. Anyone else go that route?

I think he said:
Test drive up to 70mph, <5 miles
Some electronic verification of the latest software
Interior cleaning
Exterior cleaning - this is what I asked to skip. Don't think dealerships do great exterior detailing jobs and I'm getting it fully PPF'd for an exorbitant sum in 2 weeks. I'll either do it myself or have them do it.
I think that was it.

Show of hands—if leasing, do most folks do
PPF? I usually do it on cars I buy / keep long term, but haven’t done it for leases and was on the fence this time.
Also—anyone tint windows on a lease and are there lease return issues if you do so? Advice greatly appreciated.

Tints are no problem, no one complains on lease returns about them.
I also will do Escort Max Ci360 install with laser diffusers and F/R antennas, just no custom alcantara fabrications for the controller. This is usually a seamless install/uninstall process that I do on leases as well.

I'm buying / keeping this car for 5-7 years, so PPF makes sense to me. If leasing, certainly wouldn't do a full wrap, maybe just front bumper / hood and mirrors but honestly probably wouldn't do anything.

No PPF on this car as I am leasing. I usually get paint correction done after delivery; just routine car washes from there on.
I have had no issues with returning tinted cars so far.

Has anyone got their car from VPC Baltimore yet? Mine has been released, but the SA has no time table of when it will be delivered. It has been there since August 10th, probably stuck in the back. If it doesn't come in the next two weeks, may not be able to get it until January with my schedule and the holidays. Is there anyone who can check if this car is in transit or has a ETA for delivery. Here is my VIN # WDDZF8KB1KA509021.
Thanks
