MY19 Launch Schedule

Then why the unofficial story from MB? I suppose they could just be embarrassed. Or maybe this is one giant circular game of telephone where the SAs are completely in the dark, but then also reading this thread and getting ideas for explanations. No question, however, that the E63 does not have a 2019 CARB certification, and the other cars that have been released do have one. Who knows. We all just want our cars.

Talked to my dealer in Montreal, he said they are waiting for Emissions certification from the Canadian Govt in Halifax, and he said they arent expecting the cars to be freed before end of november/beginning of december, FML.

2024 AMG EQE SUV , 2021 E63S Wagon - gone, 2018 E63S Sedan - gone
The E63 M177 engine is also found in the S63 - same exact engine with same HP rating (more torque in the S63), same twin scroll turbos (unlike the C63 and GLC63), same exhaust manifolds (the cars sound identical from the outside), and the same cylinder deactivation system. Apparently, the MY19 S63 was released earlier this month, so I highly doubt engine problems are the culprit here IMO.

Just in today...I had to share it because is "light at the end of the tunnel" ))))
Dear AMG Performance Centers,
Thank you for your continued partnership and investment in the AMG brand. We recognize that the recent AMG product delays have impacted your AMG Performance Centers. The good news is there is light at the end of the tunnel as you all have started to see. Nevertheless, to help you work through these last few bumps in the road, MBUSA will provide a Q4 sales bye for AMG Performance Centers.............bla bla bla

I want to say that guys like you and Shahul Usman have been instrumental in keeping a semblance of our sanity with periodic updates and VIN lookups, etc. Thanks again!

I had to cut the end of the email because it was not ok for sharing but "sales bye" means there's no more AMG Q4 target for the dealers who are AMG PC. As a dealer you can be an AMG PC if you meet some criteria and they get more AMG allocations.

Sounds like they will not "penalize" your dealership's for not meeting quarterly sales quotas, which I sincerely understand SAs were severely impacted financially because of the delays. But have they indicated how they will compensate the customers for the impacts of the delay. I've been renting a vehicle since August due to the delay and would hope there would be some form of monetary compensation before we sign on the proverbial dotted line.

I did ask and my SA legitimately went to bat for me, but the Sales Manager said he was screwed in the past by giving out a loaner and the customers vehicle was delayed for over 6 months. He said that when they see "a light at the end of the tunnel" and E53s are being released they will give me a loaner until mine arrives. Really? Four months of a car rental bill, offset by a 1-2 week loaner vehicle. Thanks a lot! Whispering (But I'll take it).

Note I also have 6 mercedes dealerships within 20 miles of my house so maybe they are more keen on keeping customers.

Dealers don’t care and manufacturer/corporate care even less. Car dealerships in general just have ****ty customer service. That’s the sad fact.
i have never once seen a need to be a repeat customer from a dealer. A year after I got my W212 from a dealer (who is also a AMG PC), I called to ask what they could offer as a discount on the W213 it was peanuts; and that was only 12 months after I bought the W212.
i have a 130k truck in the shop right now for 12+ days that had a catastrophic failure less than a month of ownership with 1500 miles on it and by any safety standard should have been lemoned and You know what corporate said? That’s too bad. We will order the parts for you and fix your vehicle. They are even questioning reimbursing me for a rental car for $200 because they told me “oh loaner cars are a dealership program not a manufacturer program”.
one big cat and mouse game they blame each other.
so now I drive a compact economy while one sits in the shop waiting on parts and another is yet to be released due to some marketing gimmick corporate wants to play.

Oddly, the Euro-spec for fuel economy is better for the E63S: 10.8 vs. 11.2 (lower is better). The fact that the S63 EO doesn't cover the E63S means the emission equipment is different. Perhaps that's the reason for the lower torque rating of the E63S.
