Opinion: E53
I placed an order for an E53 Coupe. Of course delivery got pushed till about January and even potentially later because I have the HUD on order.
In the meanwhile I've been watching a lot of reviews on the car and of the C63s. With the options that I want they both come out to about the same price 84k (E53) 83k (C63s).
Digging into it, I thought I was sure about the E53 but the 2019 C63S seemed to shorten the quality and feature gap between the C and E class.
The drivers assistance package, 360 Parking Cameras and premium package all seem to have caught up with the E class. The biggest differentiation I see is the dual screens vs the 12inch dash display and 10.3 inch C class layout. No Massage function on C class and no Cabin Fragrance. In terms of features not much else major I could see in that area as well the C63 get those cool Mini screen/buttons on the steering wheel.
In terms of drive-ability, def different feel with the Turbo 8 vs the Inline 6. The 19 C has a 3 stage suspension vs the Air Body Control on the E which without driving each is hard to tell how rough/stiff the C63, maybe some of you guys with the E63 that has Air Suspension can comment.
Based on the above I'm leaning on cancelling my order and ordering a 19 C63S but I wanted to get your guys opinion.

If you want a summer only car (or live south of the Mason-Dixon line) that is a lot of fun, get the C63.
Expect to buy a lot of tires. Perhaps Pilot Sport 4Ss.
I'm old, fat, bald, arthritic, and live in Massachusetts. I can't justify having a summer only car any more. I also want the additional inch or so around the drivers seat. I will impatiently wait for my E53 Cab with HUD.

Reading the C63 forums it seems like alot of people are fine with the car in winter as long as you get winter tires. My E53 rims that I ordered had summer tires on it anyway so I'd have to get winter tires for that regardless of the 4 matic.
Honestly, i'm leaning the C63 direction, body style wise they just made it look alot more aggressive vs the E53 which has minor changes from the standard E class.
The C63 doesn't just look more aggressive , it is.
It has a power loading of 8.6 pounds / horsepower.
With rear wheel drive, you will usually have more power than you can put to the ground at low speeds.
The E53's is 10.1 pounds / horsepower.
With all wheel drive, you can just plant your foot, even on a damp road.
This is a pretty big difference. On a nice day the C63 will be a lot more entertaining. On a rainy night, pulling out of a driveway into traffic, it will also be a lot more entertaining.

one of being a 4 Matic vs Rear Wheel
