Thanks for asking this question @Michael Khan - I had the exact same question as I go about creating my custom build.

Most people who have replied here are from the US where that "auto dimming feature" is prohibited and disabled for using. You're right we are never ever have tried that feature.

Makes sense, isn't? ))

The advanced system doesn't do local dimming in the US for making "holes" in the beam for oncoming traffic, but it does still do a neat "curtain effect" where the auto high beam LEDs come on sequentially from the center->outward...and if you come upon an oncoming car while they are sequentially lighting up, it recedes back to the center quickly, like a curtain closing. But if the high beam is already completely illuminated, they just fade out collectively. So it does makes use of the system's ability to use a matrix of LEDs to create an effect, just not one that involves other vehicles and selective dimming.

I know that, my car has, ALP, but this is only 1 of ”hundred” features ALP has in Europe.

How would I know that it is not available in the USA - the most advanced country in the world......

Makes sense doesn't it?

I would get it based on looks alone, without the ALP the front headlights looks cheap.

In Australia they also have lots of unique car rules. I used to wonder how Oz engineers thought that they were better than the Germans who had been producing top cars for a long time!
