No direct e63 content, but I thought that this would be of interest to those in this forum.

I recall an article recently where Audi states the opposite...

W213 AMG 2019 E63S Wagon
I read a related article about Audi as well but the jist was that they think Americans don't want wagons,.. because they build wagons that Americans don't want. Kind of a cycle.. I love my E63S Wagon, but long before I started looking at MB, I thought I wanted an Audi S or RS wagon, the 6 series not the 4. They don't even make a s or RS4 wagon... Audi only makes one U.S. Wagon, the Allroad, and for what you get I think it is overprice (as this same article I remember seems to conclude). Maybe Audi is helping MB Wagon sales?

This also comes from a company that never realized it could print money by offering every globally available RS model in the US, instead of just conceding the market to BMW and Mercedes.

MB’s of all kinds.
I mean SUV's and crossovers seem to be all the rage now a days. Any MB dealer I go to they have all GLA, GLK, GLC, ML and GLS/GL on the lot. They usually have a couple E Wagons in stock but not much.

I hear ya! I even offered my Audi dealership a cash sale if they could get me an RS6 Avant as an off road use only/non registerable vehicle. :-/

I really like my E450 Wagon a lot. It is so super smooth and comfortable, I get around 31 mpg on the highway and with the 25K highway miles I do every year that is a money saver and car seems to have plenty of power for my purposes. I think a luxury wagon is so much better than an SUV myself. It's too bad they don't make a S Wagon.

2019 AMG E63S lunar blue wagon
Go to any "old money" town in New England, and you'll see a vintage wagon (with 4 cloth grocery bags in back and an elite private high school sticker on the window) parked in a circular pea-gravel driveway. There are unofficial stats floating around that wagon buyers have the highest net worth of any automobile sector.

I think it is actually.. granted I sold all my E63 sedans (although just got in two).. but my wagon is still here (good discount btw)

Wagons do everything, easier to load stuff in, handle better than suv's, better aero for speed and mpg's...

2019 E63S Wagon
Love my wagon.

I absolutely love my 2019 E63s wagon. Soooo much fun to drive and super practical for hauling family, dog, friends/trips, etc. My wife thinks it is great, especially massage seats. She says the car loves her because it always gives her hugs (auto bolsters). Her only request is that i warn her before I punch it. Plus, it is the ultimate sleeper (debadged).

I've seen many articles over the years where they've said that the E-Class wagon customer is most often the wealthiest out of all Mercedes-Benz buyers. Even more so than the S and AMG GT.

They are kind of ugly to some people. My girlfriend told me if I got the wagon, she'd be very upset/did not find it attractive at all.

It's wildly practical plus it gets a ton of stuff right. Exhaust note, performance, interior, (arguably) looks. Whether or not those buyers drive it like maniacs or even come close to getting the performance it is capable of out of it is one thing... and it's actually a pretty good value compared to an S I believe.

Haha thats funny.. I had a loaded grey E350 wagon (my 4th wagon in my life)... turned in (lease).. and got a sedan.. I missed my wagon a lot... and we traded in a older loaded E350 wagon... so aside for the fact its a 4th car for us, my wife wasnt happy that I came with a BROWN station wagon.. man I love that thing. Best part is we sold a car, gave the C class to her mom that visiting, and she cant drive a manual so she has had to drive the wagon the last few weeks

I am in the category that just can’t get behind the wagons because I don’t like the way they look. They are starting to grow on me a bit, but still don’t think I could pull the trigger. I don’t have kids yet, and my wife doesn’t drive, so I think this also sways my decision making as well.

if I had to pick a wagon today, it would probably be the panamera turbo sport turismo, and I’d break the piggy bank to get the techart kit on it.

The back seat of turismo is just a two person seat due to the drive shaft hump. The cargo area in the MB is also much larger. These factors together with pricing is why I went MB.
I still remember building the Panamera and how many options and the cost of the options. It really felt like you were being raped!
