5-6% is the norm, but that's the norm of good deals. I told one dealer people get 5-6% off and they told me to get bent.
36 month lease, 10k miles, I think they quoted me for $2,200/mo+ at 6% sales tax on a $120k car.
I have a 42 month lease, 15 miles/yr, I don't think the previous owner put much down (if anything) and with 6% sales tax I'm at $1,770/mo but I think the car only being $114k makes a big difference. At 10k miles the lease would probably be... $1,650/mo maybe? Probably one of the cheapest leases here (before talking money down towards cap)

Yeah, I personally think 6% is like... you either know somebody, you did that bull**** where you e-mail 5 people and vet them against each other... I could be wrong. I've just read 5-6% enough here to know it's kind of like, the agreed upon standard?

Your market makes a significant difference too. They are not that rare to see in dealerships here in Houston. You could always try calling a different market.

YOU have ALL the power in this situation. Let them sweat 600k worth of E class losing value in their showroom. Maybe someone buys at MSRP, maybe they stay until 2020 and sell for 20% off, if they don't want to play ball, find someone who will

They told me, they have no issue selling it over 115k at a premium at 120k. But i know that no one in my area is even looking into getting an e63 since alot of people switched over to get the m5. Like I said if this deal does not go through It really sucks but I will go somewhere else. Just sucks when you have been supporting a dealer at different events out here. Another dealer out by me offered me 109k and I did not even go in to the dealer yet. Just texted them and he told me over text. Same price, just theirs is 100$ cheaper in lunar blue. Almost same options too but it doesnt have the black forged wheels, or the piano flowing lines.

Stand your ground and don’t feed into the urgency or getting behind the wheel right away.
id look for at least 5% off. Didn’t the factory mess up the config to begin with?
its a shame you have to go through something like that after such a history with your dealer.

I got 6% off MSRP without too much back and forth from an out-of-state dealership. All the dealers I spoke to in Northern California and Southern California wanted to charge MSRP or above.

Discount
I negotiated 4% from my So. Calif Dealer last April when i ordered my 2019 E63s wagon. A number of dealers did not want to discount at all.

There's the relationship intangible when buying a car from another dealer and then expecting loaner cars from the original dealer who you didn't use. I don't think the savings are worth the risk. I've been using the same dealer for 18 years and they've always bent over backwards to secure the sale of the new car and for the subsequent servicing. BTW, my normal deal is invoice plus $1500 always. This translated to 5.8% discount on my 2018 E63S plus free maintenance.

What was the value of the maintenance they threw in? It's about $2k-$3k, right? Not a bad deal at all.
