AMG Track Pace App

2017 C63S AMG
Ok, I was able to install the app without any problems. You then are required to connect the app to your vehicles wifi hotspot. I did that, but then the app asks you to activate your device through the Comand System. There isn't any option within my Comand System to "activate a new device." I'm not sure if this is because I have to purchase a separate internet package for the car i.e. Mercedes Entertain (which I don't currently have), OR if it is because the app will not work with a 2017 C63S. I am trying to figure it out.
Just spoke with Mercedes Customer Assistance, but they can't give ANY info because the app isn't available in the USA (as we all know).

To change countries on the App Store you neeD
an Apple ID from that country which means all you typically need is an address from same country. I don’t believe it’s checked at least they didn’t used to...

As for an update for me, I was referred by my MB dealership to a local shop that retrofits Apple Car Play, parking sensors, etc. The dealership sends clients to him for requests like this. My car is there now...he said that he has successfully integrated the Track Pace app into vehicles already. I am a little skeptical, but we will see what happens.
Edit: This ended up being a no go. They let me know that they would have to swap out the head unit for a 2018 one. That would be a lot of work and pretty costly obviously.

AMG TRACK PACE APP IPA
hey, can someone from a location where the track pace is available to send the .ipa on this forum? The .ipa is just the apps file. If somebody downloads the trackpace app through iTunes, they can ultimately find the .ipa in their finder. Now comes the fun part. theoretically, if you download appcake, you can open .ipa and download it on your iPhone. you don't need to be jailbroken for this, although it helps. If someone is able to send me the .ipa of this app then i can try it out and write a tutorial to do it. it's honestly super easy. I just need the AMG track pace .ipa to test it out. I am about to get a 2020 C63s and I need this app now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael, how do you change your region for the iPhone? Is it under general--I changed mine but still cant find the app. A search for Track Pace shows nothing and a general Mercedes didn't list TP. Did you have to change your address and if so how did you do that?

Ya I changed my address and I used a post office address that looked normal in Canada. It worked and I was able to find the app. Just remember to change it back.
