2019 E63s CEL

I've gotten the dreaded Check Engine light four times within the last couple of weeks, it's throwing code P04567A (slight evaporative leak in emissions system?).

Two different dealers have performed leak and vacuum tests of the fuel system, vehicle has passed all tests. Fuel cap is ok. Vehicle ran normally each time. Both dealers couldn't find anything, cleared fault memory and performed software updates per guided test.

Anyone else seeing anything similar to this?

I'll update if it comes back.

Bummer

Mine has been OK since the last time I had it in. Has now been a couple months since a CEL. Hopefully they'll get you cleared for good too.

Bad gas? Had a C63 CEL they couldn't figure out that completely went away when I stopped buying gas from a specific station I frequented. Never know.

Not likely, it has occurred over a couple different tanks of gas, but I will keep an eye on that. Thanks!

At least it's not the cylinder 1,6 misfire. I haven't heard of any 19s with the CEL

Thats the first thing I thought of when the light came on. I haven’t heard anything about the misfires in a few months, hopefully they got it sorted out.

Got the CEL again last week, put it back in shop last Wednesday. Was in for a week this time. Same code, P04567A "fine leak in evaporative emission control system". This time, they ran all tests again and found no leaks. They determined that there was a malfunction within the "evaporative system charcoal canister/fuel tank leak diagnosis module". Module replaced, and I'm back on the road. Hopefully they got it this time.

CEL for me first time last night 5053 miles. Never had it thought I was safe. Just a normal drive home stopped for food 10 min got in car started and CEL popped up. Didn't go away this morning.

Called service they said a new software update to address this on the E63S and I think he said S63 or S65 can't remember but for sure he said it's released because at start up injectors were flooding cylinders with too much fuel causing knock sensor to trip the CEL.

Scheduled for next Sat 4/27 which at the same time 3rd time I will ask them to fix the rattles and ticks.

I just experienced the CEL while I was driving Saturday night, the engine still ran smoothly though. I locked the car overnight and see if the CEL will go away/reset itself but it did not. I sure hope nothing serious. Mine is a 18 though, I have around 40,000km (almost 2 yrs in service) and this is my first CEL.

Do you know if it is the cylinder 1 & 6 misfire or some other CEL? Could be something totally unrelated to the misfire issue some of us had last year.

no cylinder misfiring. car still drives like it is normal. I stopped by at my dealer and spoke to the Service Advisor and he said as long the car is not hesitating and the CEL symbol is not flashing, then it's still safe to drive. Appointment is booked for next week to get them to look at it + couple of manuf. updates as well to get done.
