Once you get used to ceramics on a car, it's hard to not miss them on other cars.
Can't find the AMG seats to try. Part of my question isn't too subjective. Are they harder to get in and out of, or not? Unrelated but I find my bucket seats in my 911R totally comfortable (as comfortable as the sofas) but find them a PITA to get in and out of without destroying bolster. I wouldn't want something like this for daily driver.

I love this car. One year now and it has been awesome.
I have Michelin tires and about a week ago started getting the "clunking" noise as I first set off to work. Looked at the temperature and realized that it was time to change the tires. Now have the winter tires on and, guess what, no clunking! So check your temps as winter tires are not just for snow.

It is subjective, I have friends who hate them but as someone who races and does a few track days I think they are great.

To beat a Tesla you can, like you said, mod the sh*t out or your E, which would also require you to drop a sh*t load of cash on a car that you don’t like and will never get back when you sell it...and will still ride as crappy as it does now or you can do the M5, spend pocket change (relatively speaking) on a tune and beat the Tesla without even having to add a single bolt-on. The decision seems easy to me
Whats the big deal about a Tesla 100D, I gave one of those sedans with that badging on the back a full blown *** raping the other day on the interstate. It seemed decently fast but nothing to write home about

Most Tesla folks don't drive around in Ludicrous mode. A number of the folks at work with them didn't spend the money on that option so I assume that hold true for the general population as well.

There is no Tesla that could follow my E63s wagon on a Sunday drive without having to recharge halfway through in order to make it home... But there is no where you can recharge in the canyons or mountains...

I've had two GLS63s and moved to an 18 63s Wagon...
1. the seats in the E63 are way better than the GLS63 .. I've had two back surgeries and am very sensitive to bad seats. We have a summer house that is 100 miles away that we drive too every weekend... with the old car I always felt like sore and fatigued but with the E63... its never an issue. (btw.. my 2010 911 has the best seats out there for me)
2. the ride... well, riding around with tire pressures at 39 front and 44 rear will never give you any compliance... and if you follow the MB spec pressures (that most likely your tires are set too) will beat you to death. But the flipside is that you don't bend wheels....my wife hit a major pothole on the LIE... it was enough to chip-dent the wheel and leave a gash on the tire... but it didn't break. If I lived someplace with better roads, I'd drop the pressure to 36/40
3. I do wish that the NAV/radio had more "fixed" buttons as I hate having to go into to multiple menus to advance or choosing radio stations or similar using the appleplay.
4. as for grabbing attention.. nothing beats my wagon. Everybody looks and gives a thumbs up.

how many times/ how long can Tesla run in Ludicrous mode?
any difference between SoCal vs Alaska? Does it work in Arizona summer?
What happens when Battery and motors overheat —> must switch to limp mode until it cools down....
Ludicrous mode is “race to halt” in my opinion....

Well, have you asked why they don’t use it?

Not for spontaneous use.

Nah man, this cat flagged me down for a run, he was all in and bit off more than he can chew, period. I have been around the block a couple times lol. Put it in whatever mode you want, going up against a 5.4ltre with a 3.0 litre blower on kill mode is going to get your *** waxed!

There’s not a big deal at all from a freeway roll. And now that I’m out of the E63 that can’t launch, I’ll take one in Ludicrous mode from a dig as well.
