E53 Oil Change Procedure

Not much to share. Everything seems good. The operating temperature is the same. Gas mileage seems to be the same. The dealer put the recommended amount of oil in. A couple of weeks later I got a “reduce engine oil” message while driving at highway speeds. The dealer removed .2 quarts and all has been good since. I doubt the reduce oil message had anything to do with the type and grade of oil. The sensor is very sensitive and indicated the oil was filled to the MAX level when the oil change was done. It may have been a bit overfilled or maybe it expanded a bit at temperature and tripled the sensor.

I really hope 0w-20 can have good mileage.
