Buying a new 2020 E63s Wagon - Dealer discount?
Hey guys, I’m looking at a new 2020 wagon nicely optioned. MSRP is $130k. Car is in the showroom. What should I be looking for for discount? Lease or purchase better with these?
thanks

Wagons are tricky, especially at the start of the model year. The best most of us get is 5% later in the year and sometimes that's just due to memberships/fleet pricing. Sedans are MUCH easier to haggle with, just by nature of supply vs wagons. Then, when you into some of options like CCBs, it gets even harder because they might make 20 CCB wagons a month, for the world. They probably aren't going to budge much on MSRP since if you don't buy it, someone else will, but you might be able to haggle with extended warranties, service plans, etc.

The fleet discounts are high right now on E class because this is the last model year before the facelift. You should be pleased with a 3-6% dealer discount, and then at the end of the negotiation slap on the fleet discount.

United Mileage Plus is the easiest one to get to...but I think the Morgan Stanley program is a lot stronger.
I am about to find out...
update: Mileage Plus discount on AMG Wagon is $750...so that is pretty weak. I'll update when I get Morgan Stanley. I was told that it was a good bit higher than that but that info was from last month and the flyer has since changed to not even include the wagon .

They gave me an ok deal on paper but the financing is Lolz. Going to have a couple of other places pull rates tomorrow. I have 800 credit score and financing 120k for 72mos. What should rates be today. Does anybody have recommendations on financing?

Rates have been going up the past couple years after a good low period. With great credit and 72 months you're probably looking at 3.5-5% depending on the bank. Sighhhh, no more 0.9 or 1.9% for that term.

The dealership likely gets a small cut of that rate for pointing you to that bank. It's always in your best interest to try and secure financing independent of the dealership. The trick is to try and get to the end of negotiations just being vague about financing and then let them know you already have the money secured after the final numbers have been settled on.

got 3.25 a few weeks ago at a local credit union... when i told the dealer they matched it... the original was 4.9 from mb... when i arrived to sign, they had signed me up to a credit union in cali, i live in florida... so their finance guy went digging apparently...

Bought my special order wagon last week. No MSRP discount, period. And they quoted me 5.99% on a 60 month loan. I took it, but am gonna pay it off very soon using my Home Equity Loan, which is at about 4%.
