If the dealer does not make it right, before contacting an attorney try the free resource. Typically, when a company faces prosecution from a government entity, they make it right much quicker than from a civil lawsuit. https://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/Oca-bc...g/ca02965.html

I'm still here, I still tune every car I own.
Nothing wrong with "tuning" as long as you understand the risks involved and consequences you may suffer.
You just can't have your cake and eat it too in all situations.
My dealer helps a lot, I have a long history with them but I understand that when the **** really hits the fan, I will be on my own.......

BUT I never had an issue with the engine or transmission. I am sure that if I did the claim would have been denied. And if it was I would not have been surprised or disappointed. That is the risk of tuning. But how many AMG engines with forged internals do you hear about that a Renntech tune is alleged to have blown it up? However there is no denying that with a tune you must be prepared for a warranty claim denial if you have a powertrain issue. If it is not a powertrain issue and you get a denial then you have a fight on your hands with MB. I had a ton of warranty claims and no issues BUT my service dealer had sold and installed the Renntech mods and is mod friendly and none of the claims involved the engine or transmission. But they did replace the engine mounts under warranty and had they not been mod friendly I could have seen that one being denied.

My last E63S had the full Renntech tune from day 1 from the dealer. I never had a warranty claim or Extended Limited Warranty Claim denied and that car was in the shop all the time.

2019 E63 S
1. Replacing both front control arms once a year.
2. Replacing the motor mounts
3. Replacing the shift selection control module (car would not shift into park when P button was pressed.
4. Fixing the keyless entry system (it would not function).
5, Dropping the roof liner and tightening the pano roof.
6. Front headlights cracked (not from rosa hazards).
7. Rubber seal under hood needed replacement.
8. AMG door pins kept popping off and getting lost
9. 3 auxiliary battery replacements
These were some of the issues as well as more traditional maintenance issues
1. Replaced brake rotors twice.
2. Replaced pads countless times.
3. Replaced a rear shock
4. Multiple spark plug replacements and one replacement of spark plug hoods -- normal consequence of a tuned car
5. The Pirelli Sottozero winter tires were extremely vulnerable to pothole damage - replaced countless of them

I knew Rosa Hazzards good woman. Wow that car sounds like it was hexed. Although all those problems you had were pretty common issues. I guess we are all masochists.
