Decided to start a new thread for my "hot" wagon. If you've seen my other threads, or feel like going down the rabbit hole, I ordered my car in April of 2019.. and it should be here by the end of June 2020 - no those dates are not typos. Since I was expecting it to be here in Jan after my first European Delivery - I started to buy / plan for my custom stuff. Here's the list. I'll take some good pics once everything is on.. But I've already watched every YouTube video on E63s and I need to focus my attention somewhere else to remain patient.

Get the carbon fiber interior, you won't regret it. The piano is going to look horrible in a year or two. Unless you AND your dealer/detail shop is extra careful. Then maybe a couple more lol
Black piano , it is not easy to scratch . It is SUPER EASY to scratch . That is the only thing I hate about my car , similar build with yours . Just enjoy it when it comes.
is sport exhaust included in 2020?

Hear you all on the piano black - at the time of order the carbon fiber insert wasn't available on the steering wheel. And I really like piano black on the wheel. My wife's Range Rover has it. We've done a pretty good job not scratching the PB in the range.. But I'm a super nerd who drives around with a polish and microfiber in the glove compartment.

I just emailed SkiGuard for the part number. I bought the whole package from them..
The original vessel was supposed to leave Bremerhaven on April 25th - that got canceled and then scheduled for May 25th, and that just got canceled and push to end of June. There are not enough MBs to fill a ship right now so my car is just sitting there. Spoke to the dealer to see if they can just cancel my order and I'll take one that's on the showroom floor. No go because mine was built at a ED. So here I am, making payments on a car that is sitting and waiting for 5000 other cars to arrive so it can go on a ship.
I reached out to my own freight forwarder - I'm in the apparel biz and import all the time - they said if MB would release the car they could put it in a container and ship it no problem. IFF, which is who MB has a contract with says the car has to stick and only ship with MB.
I've reached out to MBUSA to see if they can let me pay for my own car to ship - I'm trying to be cool with this whole situation and on the other hand I'm thinking just to call my attorney, become and *******, and have them cancel my order so I can buy one of the 20 cars in LA. I get it. Covid f'd everything up - but I also don't have a lot of faith that my car will actually ship out in June, then there will be the huge backlog of dealers not wanting cars because they have too much inventory. Etc.
What would you guys do?

I would cancel and buy 1 off the lot. Life is too short to put up with other people’s ****.
IIRC, I read somewhere that with ED it is your car once you pick it up at the factory. Is that true? If so, you can't really cancel the order as it has already been completed.
I had the Skiguard on my E63 and loved it. Looking to find it a new home if anybody is looking and local in Colorado.
They likely won't let you ship it as the manufacturer commits to export it otherwise is on the hook for a big tax bill, among other things. They won't release it to you. Hope you can get on a boat soon, understand your frustration.

I've got the carbon fiber interior in my wagon and yeah it looks great from the drivers seat but the sun glare in the passengers seat is blinding for the passenger, it would have been better if it were a satin finish from the factory.

got the dealer to cancel my order so now I’m back to being a free agent. There is one I found that has the carbon fiber so good to know. Fingers crossed this deal comes together. The one I found is a little far but has all the options I liked plus carbon fiber.

I gonna see if I can get the interior carbon fiber wrapped in a satin clear to reduce the passenger's glare and make her a happy camper where ever the sun shines.
Good luck with your quest you won't be disappointed, it is one of a very few do everything great cars you can own..
Asked my wife about the glare after I saw your post. Hasn't been a problem for her as a passenger in the sedan so maybe we just haven't hit the right conditions with time of day and direction of travel, etc. I haven't noticed a problem myself either. But I think a satin finish on the CF interior would be cool to see for comparison purposes.

The truck is 1949 chevy 3100 on an Art Morrison Chassis (coilovers, sway bars, etc)
I had my hot rod shop install captains seats in the range - the 3rd row is from a Tesla model X.
And the P is slightly modified - RS steering rack, BBS, Bilstein Coils, Full Headers, MoMO prototipo, LED lights, VERY fun car to drive.

thanks! It has a zz4 350 paired with a 700r trans. Wilwood vented disk brakes, ride tech coilovers. It’s 400hp to the rear wheels. Not stupid fast but fast enough. And stainless headers gives a nice crackly rumble.
speaking of crackly rumbles, thinking of doing downpipes for the wagon - Will have to research a bit more.
