After more than a decade of lusting for an AMG wagon, I finally pulled the trigger, and I'm really happy! A grey 2019 with sport seats and carbon brakes. Had fun driving it over the weekend but still have only just scratched the surface of what this bad daddy can do. This is actually my very first automatic and I'm adjusting to not using my left foot; my right foot is plenty entertaining. I also have a big turbo VW Golf R that I'm now free to mod even more, and I'll target 800 hp. With the AMG, I'm going to leave stock aside from little things for now. Better pictures to come!

A few questions for the more experienced crowd here:

• Can someone get the build sheet for me? I dont have the window sticker. Vin is: WDDZH8KB6KA546964
• Does anyone have any alternative license plate mounts? I know there are tow hook mounts that I'm not crazy about. for my vw, I have a 3d printed mount that just attaches to the grill and looks great
• I'm thinking of getting a stealth hitch. Does anyone have experience? Is it ok for actual towing? eg, towing my vw? or just for bike mounts? can it actually be seen when not towing?
• What is the consensus best radar detector?
• I'd like a totally flush look, what size spacers do people use to get as flush as possible while avoiding rubbing?

Congrats, beautiful car! I use a Uniden R7 detector which I like a lot. Ka sensitivity is excellent. Haven't tried the 2nd gen Valentine or Escort 360. All 3 have directional arrows which are a must. Biggest problem is other vehicles spewing out false K signals, not sure if any detector can eliminate those without losing police K sensitivity.

I have a stealth hitch and used it several times to haul some dry wall and lumber and Bike Thule Rack . Worked flawlessly. When not in use you don’t see it . I love it
Radar detector I am using Radenso RCM system stand alone system paired with ALP sys. Also stand alone . They can be integrated but I don’t like it .
Mb star , yes it is off . Can be fixed very easily , facing the car turn it clockwise , it will lock in place .

Nice wagon! I have a 2019 sedan in Selenite. I use the escort 360 redline and it has been pretty good.

As for the chrome strip in the rear, I had initially wrapped it in black myself, but recently had it painted black by the local M-B body shop

Yes it does , as long as you have the MRCD and MRCT turned off .
Being in NY I have to turn MRCD and MRCT on due to the abundance of speed traps , speed camera , red light camera installed across the city, and it’s making the driving experience all one long and intermittent beep of different tonalities . Traveling frequently out of state I have to shut off those MRCD and MRCT which I often forget or in a hurry, to avoid those K falses on the highway . I am still looking for answers to see if this kind of behavior it is normal for this system.
