Any E63s buying advices?
E63s buying advices?
Hi I plan on buying an E63s in the next days/weeks is there anything I should be looking for? I currently have a 2017 C43 the car is great but kind of a regret, I didn’t took the PE, 360 camera and many other stuff. Does it have any known problem that I should check before buying?
I see that all of the ones being sold have full options but not all have the updated steering wheel, what is this option called?
Is it more confortable to drive than the C43? (Suspensions and tires),one of my mag cracked 7x.
I live in Canada so I have to keep in mind the winter and many many plot holes.
Is there any differences between 17-20 models?

There is no 17.
No heated steering wheels on 18. It has from 19 onwards.
If you are buying used, preferrably a CPO from MB dealer and then negotiate a deal on extended factory warranty.

The 18 - 20 suspension has no change, some may suggest it is still a bit harsh to ride even on comfort mode. You will have to get a prolong test drive to see for yourself, other than that, it can be subjective. For me, I have kind of gotten used to the harsher ride after 3+ yrs.

Updated steering wheel comes with '19 and later models. The E63 is definitely not a smooth car to drive, the suspension is stiff, period. The C43 does not compare at all, it's a C450 rebadged to an "AMG". Forged wheels will alleviate a lot of problems you have had with cracks, but won't save you from pot holes, you have to avoid those.
The options I just couldn't live without are the forged wheels, 3D sound, and Night Package.

Its stiff or as I see it 'why all other cars are soft and drive like school bus?'
Find loaded car, preferably one owner, preferable no tuning (my take, many may disagree), get some warranty and enjoy!

The 20 inch cross spokes ones are forged (better made in quality and pretty expensive too, over $1,500+ US each)

All I can offer is that if you find one that suits your needs grab it quickly. I looked for a nice lightly used one for a couple years and was like chasing a ghost. Decided to order and buy a new 2021 and it is taking forever.

Try to find a CPO (certified pre-owned) from a Mercedes dealer, as that adds 1 additional year of warranty. I'm sure they'd love your trade-in too.
I recommend setting up saved searches on craigslist, autotrader, cars.com, etc - check them daily.
Look up the configuration by VIN on mbdecoder.com - then you can tell right away what colors inside & out, what options were selected, etc.
if you are looking for a sporty trim then personally i would recommend:
- AMG switchable exhaust (most end up having this anyways)
- HUD, active cruise, lane keep, that whole package
- AMG sport seats
- Night package
- black or brown interior
- Carbon Ceramic brakes are killer if you want them
