Using a Battery Maintainer

New to Mercedes and just wondering if using a CTEK MUS 4.3 battery maintainer would be fine. I will not be driving it much (retired) so I figured just to be on the safe side with all the electronics on this wagon this would keep the battery fully charged. Any information would be appreciated.

I have a CTEK that I use on mine for when it sits weeks at a time. No issues at all.

Which battery are you hooking the tender up to? My E63s will also sit for extended periods without driving especially in the Winter.

I used the CTEK 5.0 regularly and even stored the car all winter and it was fine.

I use my NOCO 4-bank maintainer. It only pushes 1amp per bank, but is enough to keep my wagon fully charged...no issues with it on a maintainer for over a year now.

CTEK Maintenance mode is designed exactly for that purpose, copied from the manual:
“The state of charge varies between 95% and 100%. The battery receives a pulse when the voltage drops, keeping the battery in good shape when it is not being used. The charger can be connected for months at a time.”

I use the Ctek trickle chargers for the cars I don’t drive everyday. Not issues at all. My wagon is my daily so it hasn’t been necessary. Ctek private labels for most of the high end car makers, so ether they are really good or have a great wholesale program. Probably both.
