2021 MB AMG E 63s Wagon, 2017 Porsche Macan Turbo w/Performance Package

This is a big car. I'm used to doing 911s. Quite the workout. Wheels are, by far, the worst part. First car without ceramics in many, many years. If MB doesn't come out with a 2023 in June, I will be installing ceramic brakes on this wagon.

Loving the silver accents with the black. The OEM black window trim transformed this car. Elegant yet discreet. I don't want a fully blacked out wagon so this is a good compromise. The chrome door inserts is the last mod for now. Wish they made them in black. But since they don't, I'll wrap them in Xpel black gloss film.

Also, got my windows lightly tinted using Autobahn Ceramic i3. Didn't really need to do this because my car already has infrared glass, plus one of the advantages of not doing night package is darker windows. But only went a shade darker. Turned out nicely.

Nice looking wagon and I applaud you for owning black. I owned a black Corvette years ago and made a promise to never own a black vehicle again.

Also, I believe you plan to use a 3M black film on your door handles since Xpel deals in PPF.

I have the same infrared glass and installed a light window tint on all the windows too mostly for privacy. Looks like you didn’t do your front windows or is it just the angle of the vehicle?

Signes: Decided to not sell at the moment because I'm unwilling to pay a penny over out of principle as I've lost a fortune on these cars over the years. Figured I'd enjoy her for a few more months. I'm highly confident all V8 models, including E63S wagon, will be released around June as 2023 model year. I found a near perfect spec brand new (except yellow stitching), and got him down to $20k over but passed. I will likely list my wagon around April.

Doug, you are correct, 3M gloss black. Did all windows except windshield on this one. Just the angle makes it look like the fronts aren't done.

There's already a 30% tint built into the windows with the Acoustic package. How much additional tint did you add?

Harris, I did 56% Autobhn Ceramic i3. This means it lets 56% of light in. Perhaps the factory lets 70% light in? Definitely not 30.

The glass is marked 30%. That means 70% transmission. So, collectively, you've got 70% of 56% or 39.2%. Total. Kind of dark. CT allows a maximum of 35% so you're legal. Why do all of this if you're putting the car up for sale in April per one of your posts?

I don't think they film numbers are additive, Harris. I can tell you my tint barely made a difference. Barely a shade darker. Looks OEM.

I'm not sure what I'm doing but I take care of my cars as if I were keeping them forever as you never know what tomorrow may bring. I've been a serial flipper over the past few years. Been through at least seven Porsche 991.2 GT cars, a few BMW M5s and my wagon. (Lost a lot on the BMWs and a little on the wagon haha). One thing that I can tell you is I will never be without an E63S wagon long-term. I adore this car just want one to my spec. Convinced myself to go silver as this should be a practical and discreet car as it's my daily (well, other than my 2012 L332 full-sized RR AB which I'll never sell). May even do pedestrian Selenite.

Fortunately, all I've been thorough over the past few years with cars I've somehow managed to break even or just lose a little. Not in it for the money but a passion for cars, particularly Porsche. Plus, now think I'm addicted to buying new cars, particularly ones that I spec.

The VLT numbers are additive, but 40% still allows for significant light to get through so it's all good.
I would have spec'd my wagon in Irridium Silver if had been an option. However, cirrus silver had too much blue tint and didn't look authentic. So, I had to choose between a custom paint job or CCB brakes. I chose the latter. I've owned 10 Mercedes vehicles including this wagon. Sometimes I've had them for a few years, sometimes for much less time depending on circumstance. However, my current wagon meets all of my requirements except that it is large. I would have rather had a C-class estate, but that was only available in Canada. So, my next toy will be an AMG SL63 roadster to satisfy my inner child. Enjoy.

Yeh the c-class is amazing all around. Looks and size is better, if you don't need the space. We always get screwed over here when it comes to wagons. Just fortunate that MB is cool enough to still offer it. Most commoners in the US prefer SUVs. Don't get me wrong, there is a place for the SUV but they're wayyyy over sold. Ugh.

Don’t hold your breath on 23 E63s. I think this ship has sailed.

Ha...the winning bidder is a friend of mine. Giving him grief now. In case you're wondering he's an older guy that doesn't care about tech at all and by extension, the options it doesn't have.

$105k. Solid purchase I'd say. Most of the options are nonsense anyway. And I adore the pre-facelift front-end. Congrats to your friend.

There are better interior colors, especially paired with white exterior

Night Package does not look good with white nor do the black wheels. Has carbon fiber external trim, but wood trim interior. Really a mess IMO.

I typically like the white and black look but I agree, doesn't seem to work too well here. Too much Storm Trooper. I'd also prefer the black interior, but the trim here is the metal weave.

Cleaning my disaster of an office and came across monroney for my dad's old 2004 s430. He loved that car. And I loved that silver. If there's a 2023 available, may build wagon in 744 Brilliant Silver as homage to my late dad. It would suit the wagon amazingly well. I recall it being a deep, proper German metallic shade of silver.

Okay so my OCD tendencies getting the best of me today and I'm doing a second ceramic coating on my wheels. One coat just isn't cutting it. Still an absolute nightmare to perfectly clean wheels even after only driving short distances throughout the week.

Took some shots and noticed something still wrapped from factory. What is it? Funny enough the very same part was wrapped on my last wagon as well but didn't keep it long enough and forgot about removing.
