The E63S is not going to be produced for 2022. Orders have either been cancelled, converted to E450, or changed to special MY2021 allocation. Maybe the cars will be produced in a parallel universe.
Does anyone have recommendations on how to search all the dealers to see who has a MY21 wagon? I guess I can be flexible on options and color. No black or Blue mango though.
^^^Try all online car sites on a daily basis. And just start cold calling MB dealers inquiring. That's my strategy. I've found at least 6, and have posted most of them above. Here's another one. Owned a 2021 wagon that I painstakingly built myself. My build was near perfection but a shade off the mark. Decided I liked the car so much (read: a keeper), I'd order a 2022 and give mine back to dealer for a $15k loss. Ugh. Spent two months building the ultimate wagon to suit my tastes only to have it pulled by MB. Frustrating.
Well, thanks to a kind gentlemen on this board for referring me to his dealer that happened to have a great spec about to go into production... I'll likely be taking delivery of a black (non-metallic, of course) beauty in a couple months time. Although it's missing three key options (rear airbags, ceramic brakes and dinamica headliner), I believe it's the best new one I'll find at this point in the game.
Shout out to @HBerman for kindly referring me to his dealer. Thank you sir.
And since I can't spec my own E63 again, I decided to give Audi a shot. Will be ordering 2022 RS 6 Avant as soon as I find an allocation. Should have E63 by then too. Plan to keep my favorite between the two, or maybe both. E63 will be classy spec and RS will be aggressive/sporty. I'm 80% sure I'll wind up keeping the E63 but only time will tell. More to come on the Audi and my new E63 spec.
Did you read this article? The only interior worse than in the RS6 is in the BMW's straight out of the early 2000's without modern design. Lots of mechanical buttons if you like that sort of thing.

Knowing OCD, at least the Audi won’t have an off-center front camera.
The off set camera dose not really bothered me, what kills me is the poor quality of the paint finish (orange peel) on the e63s. Even the Xpel paint protection film I had put on front end after paint correction has issues I’m not happy with and will have to do something else.
I give up on expecting things to look right. PPF I have had on other cars has looked like **** so I gave up on it. Seams pulling up and collecting dirt. I here ya on the orange peel, my wife's GLE580 is horrible. I pretty much give up, I will lease, drive, and hand it back. I don't think it matters what price point the car is either. I took my car in the have the all seasons put on last week. I specifically asked to have a meticulous mechanic do the swap as I wanted to avoid damage. All 4 wheels had the old weights taken off with a screw driver scratching the barrels. I would have paid extra to avoid the damage. He didn't even stop at the first wheel, did all 4. Obviously they didn't care they where causing damage.

The paint on my wagon is perfect! I see no orange peel on any painted panel that would require correction. OCD also remarked when he picked up his first wagon that nothing required correction either. What are you calling "orange peel"? Was the paint surface rough? Was it on one panel or just one side? I wonder if the car was resprayed at the factory to correct a paint issue? My last 3 MB cars have also had perfect paint.

I'd demand that the wheels be refinished! My tech had a special plastic tool to remove the old weights and then used adhesive remover to clean up any residue. WTF!

This damn article really soured me on the RS6. According to Motor Trend, the Audi was significantly less dynamic than both the Porsche Sport Tourismo and the MB E63 AMG. I had even had gone as far as to order an RS6 in classy Navarra blue metallic with cognac interior. Ordered in august, delivered in February but as fate would have it, it was damaged at the port requiring a brand new bumper and “exhaust system,” so I refused delivery on it. I did go look at it in person when it did arrive and it was as gorgeous I had imagined it. It was around then that the E63 caught my interest and I’ve been on this journey. Sometimes I still wonder if the RS6 is still worthy of purchase on account of how stunning it is.

I like the following articles too, directly comparing the RS6 and AMG. The Porsche is in a different price bracket and not a fair comparison really.
Regardless, as with everyone else I find myself pondering the RS6, but I don’t want to. The exterior looks pretty good but Im not so sure it will age as well, and I don't think the interior is nearly as nice as the AMG. As for driving dynamics, see the articles above. I haven’t given up hope on finding a MY21 AMG somehow, preferably with CCB’s, a real long shot.

I'm literally in the same boat with you there. The only difference being mine was a MY20 instead of 21. Thought I had a brilliant plan to upgrade, whoops. Glad you hopped on that Black 040 car, I considered it but I’m stubborn (dumb) and holding out for my unicorn CCB car. This sucks.
Having owned multiple Audis - if you like glorified VWs with comparable service - the RS6 is for you. I drove it for kicks. Subtle it ain’t. Will be a depreciation rocket.

I have yet to see an E63S without significant orange peel but than again I'm very critical on paint finishes having done several over my life. It bothers me as much as the off center camera bothers ODC I would imagine, most people neither would be an issue but to a few it is. I can't move the camera but I can correct paint

Oh! I now see what you mean. Sorry, but the paint finish from the factory is quite acceptable to my eyes. I get more concerned with misaligned panels and body lines not consistent. It's just a car, right? It's amazing to me how all of the thousands of pieces get assembled to look as good as the finished product. Thanks for the education.
