MBUSA doesn’t care, local dealer even less…the next step may be for customers to pay for any damage prior to the delivery

Wow and here I was thinking I was a victim of a “lot bandit”!

Mine had the EXACT issue, broken black plastic when there was supposed to be carbon. I *****ed and the dealer had me a new set of carbon within a few days.

Beautiful. Love the color combo. Is that Nautical Blue? Looks a lot darker than I thought!

Yeah, Nautical Blue...very cool color in person...reminds me a bit of BMW's Tanzanite Blue with the all of the metallic sparkles in the sun. Much more unique than Lunar Blue.

Congrats on your new cars. To those with damage... I'd say just feel fortunate you're getting a car and deal with it. That wagon on BaT (300 miles and steel brakes) just sold for $190k. Lol

AMG E63 Hammer Wagon. Alfa, Rover, Ferrari, Porsche.
This E63 wagon just popped up at MB of Willoughby (Cleveland, OH). I can't find the window sticker so not sure what's on it, but the price would indicate it's fairly well equipped.

Congratulations @bullmrkt Long wait. Hopefully you will get to drive it and appreciate it.
This is what happened to my '21 wagon within first week of driving; It was kind of bturbing for a minute and then I got over it!!

AMG E63 Hammer Wagon. Alfa, Rover, Ferrari, Porsche.
I got a ride up to Akron this past Monday to collect my Hammer Wagon. It was actually the first time I’d seen this color on a wagon and was pleasantly surprised to find that it’s much more interesting IRL. Photos don’t seem to capture the shadowy effect it has, quite a presence without being too loud. I’ve generally not been fond of black wheels, but I love this design and they seem to work with the paint as a cohesive package here. The silver lip helps give them some definition, I don’t like when the wheel well is just a dark black void.

Behold the glorious bronze and carbon-ceramic sculptures this car has for brakes. They look sharp with the gray paint and wow do they work well! Splendid pedal feel. Forever spoiled. Unfortunately I got stuck with PZero’s…can’t wait for Michelin’s PS5’s to be released.

My buddy and I spent about an hour wrapping up the front-end with Track Armour (Amazon). Looks pretty bad but it was fairly easy to apply (thinner than PPF) and at least it’s clear, unlike blue painters tape. Glad I did this because the roads were loaded with debris on the 200mi blast home. I bought a 6” wide roll, but the narrower 3” roll would have been nice to have as well for the tighter areas on the front bumper. Full, proper satin PPF coming next Monday.

It’s the second time I’ve owned this car (prior was a 2020), and I’m blown away all over again. The ride is noticeably better in all modes (even on Pirellis) and I only have about 275mi on it, but it doesn’t seem to have come at any detriment to the handling at all. The exhaust is definitely a notch or two quieter but it still sounds really good, with great tone that gets even deeper with the flaps open. Break-in period of course, so I’m doing my best to keep it below 4500rpms, but it’s still impressive how prodigious the power is anywhere in the torque band—jeez…flat!

My quibbles are mostly with the interior, where they fixed all kinds of things that weren’t broken. They replaced a great steering wheel with one that doesn’t work (the capacitive touchpads), got rid of the quick access button panel to the left of the steering wheel, and removed the passenger seat control button. On the flip-side, MBUX is a nice upgrade even though I almost always use CarPlay. On the exterior, I like the new front end, but miss the old taillights, which had a really neat interior texture that sparkled when lit, like the inside of geode. The new lenses are just kind of standard-looking LED units.

The kids love it and it’s fallen right into place knocking out commutes, school runs, and errands, all while providing big big grins. It’s good to be back in this saddle, love it, what a masterpiece of a car.

Congrats!
Black wheels, CCBs, night package, yellow stitching, seats and exterior paint are perfect color combo!
Agree about the steering wheel, it’s really a downgrade. Not to mention it is the third iteration on the same W213 model.
Also, Michelin tires would be a better match for upgraded wheels. Paid extra for black wheels on my last two E63s and both came with Pirellis. Go figure…
Good luck and enjoy the hammer…

My e53 is so close to arriving. It's floating on the Honor off the coast of Spain at the moment. Anyone else have a car sitting with mine? I can just picture them now chatting just like a scene out of Cars.

Port arrival date in Charleston of March 13th. When do you think I will get it to the dealer?

I would say fairly quickly unless there is a needed repair or the VPC is really backed up. Seems like priority 1 cars are processed quickly enough if all goes well. My car was off loaded on last Wednesday and arrived at the dealership on Sunday. Though the Long Beach VPC is only a 30 min drive from the dealership.

I think mine is a little further than 30 minutes - closer to 17 hours away in the Chicago suburbs.

Looks like my car finally crossed the pond on the Honor. It just arrived at the port in Charleston to unload vans, then heading up to Baltimore for final unloading. Any guess when it should arrive at my Chicagoland dealer? Also, anyone have good suggestions on financing? I'm considering leasing since this is a 3 year car (both kids can drive in 3 years so I can get rid of a back seat and go coupe or GT).

I wish I knew what to tell you. My car arrived in Baltimore on February 15th, and as far as I know it's still at the VPC.

You just made me the most depressed man of the face of the earth! What car are you waiting for? Did they give you any reason why?

I ordered an E63S Wagon in January 2021. Every step of the way has been so slow, that nothing would surprise me at this point. Dealer is unable to tell me what's happening at the VPC. I consider myself lucky that my car wasn't on the Felicity Ace.

I guess you should just feel happy that you are getting the e63s wagon and not the shaft. Just saw my boat is on its way to Baltimore with an arrival tomorrow. I'm hoping I have better luck than you.

MBUSA AMG car loans come at much higher interest rate than the regular mass production cars, for obvious reasons. Makes sense to shop around.
I would check USAA (if you can qualify) and PenFed (easy to qualify). Should be able to get the lower interest rate than what MB Financial is offering…

What about leasing options or are the rates too high since we are all paying MSRP?

Sorry, not familiar with leasing.
There are lease experts on this forum, hope they will chime in with suggestions.
if no responses, suggest starting the new thread on lease vs financing..

AMG's usually lease at the base Money Factor. Meaning, AMG's usually never lease with special discounted Money Factors like the heavy volume models i.e. C300, E350, etc. (this was true Pre COVID). The base Money Factor varies but usually is around .00150 (3.6%) up to .00250 (6 %) give or take. Seems like the base Money Factor has been closer to higher end lately. The Money Factor changes monthly.
