E63S Wagon
Just picked up my wagon, looking for some advices, also pics

Wasn't really thinking of buying a wagon, but opportunity shown itself in the form of perfect color with perfect spec, so i traded in my SVR and picked up this baby home last week. The deal was too good to pass up, full options, all carbon, CC Brakes, less than 10K miles, perfect condition, and the asking is around 60% MSRP.

So far, am very impressed with the driving dynamics. The exhaust note is perfect, not too loud, but just enough crackles to get you to chuckle. Handling is honestly incredible, i daily drive a performante and the wagon is just as tight and precise. I do find the throttle to be bit too soft on the first half of the range, but i will get used to it.

Mine is a 2018 so the infotainment being non touchscreen feel a bit ancient, i do wish they could retrofit the MBUX though. Any advice on how i could "modernize" this one would be greatly appreciated. It also doesn't have the Connect me function, so no remote start, no travel log and etc, which is a disappointment, However i read something saying that there's an adapter could be put on so hopefully that will solve the problem.

Anyway, good to join the club !

Grats! Unfortunately it isn't till MY19 Mercedes Me was available and MBCA never brought MBrace over which MBUSA had for a while.
As for retrofitting MBUX, I haven't heard any stories regarding to that yet. So hopefully someone else can comment.
Enjoy your ride!

Sticker on that car is around $135k (I have a nearly identical spec wagon), so 60% of that would be around $80k. A steal in the current market for sure! Nice find and enjoy your new beast!

Hey sure, the comment above was also right on. The sticker was 139K and i picked it up for 79K. I bought it from a small town Mercedes dealership and they said they seen only about 2 of these a year. The pics and whatnot they uploaded is not top quality, and the description was very brief, so it didn't get a lot of attention right away. Most buyer would thought it was mispriced or dirty carfax, but then it turns out to be pristine. Really lucky on this one.

Hey congrats! Same exact color as mine, except I have the steel brakes, and mine is a '20. Do yourself a favor and ceramic coat that paint, as any slight blemish you get can't be buffed out. I used the Gyeon matte paint coating, and it worked wonders...so easy to wash now. Where in California?

Canadian spec based on the sticker. So easily 10% lower than what you would expect to pay for a US market car. Still a good deal.

Haha am actually on the east coast, by CA i meant CANADA lol. I am debating between either wrap the car in matter finish PPF or, now that you have said it, ceramic coating, but if am understanding it correctly, ceramic coat bond with the paint right? So if i do want to touch up on paint work and whatnot later on that would be kind of impossible is it? I was quoted 4-5K for the PPF wrap, i think it's worth it. Others are telling me this paint is susceptible to discoloration. A buddy of mine left his GTR with magno paint overnight outside, and it rained, so the next day he said there was a puddle of water on the hood, and that portion of the paint is permanently lighter and he end up had to get his whole car repainted as the shop told him it's very hard to color match this paint. I will be driving this in the winter too ( which is loooong here ) so it's a serious concern

You are 100% right, i did converted the number to USD so not to confuse people, also the exchange rate fluctuate a lot since this car was built and sold in 2018, but still this is, in my opinion, the best deal not only in Canada, probably in all of North America. I don't even have kid yet but i saw this wagon i just had to get it.

Yes, ceramic bonds with the paint, which is the point of it...it creates a very tight bond to ward off contaminants, dirt, etc. Don't worry about touching up the paint, you won't be able to do that as the finish can't be duplicated by touching up...unless you mean perhaps touching up a small rock chip. But even then, the rock chip will no longer have ceramic on it...so you could theoretically touch the "bare" spot up.

2018 E63s wagon [now sold] (& lots of Subarus)
damn even under $90k this would have been a steal, but under $80k is screaming!

one note about Canada import>USA cars, I believe they are not eligible for CPO / extended warranties. Not sure if that is relevant to you. But for arguably $15k under market price, you could pay for any mild repairs with the savings. (I think any W213 wagon with carbon brakes and low miles would sell at $95k or even closer to 100k right now because of the market)

I just purchased a 2021 Blue Magno wagon, and immediately did a full Xpel PPF with ceramic coating on top of the PPF. With the Magno colors, I feel it’s worth the investment to protect this paint. Unprotected, it’s a real hassle for maintenance, and as someone else said, if you get a bad scratch or chip, you can’t just touch it up.

Oh, and congrats on your purchase, love the Grey Magno.

Mbrace is working on my 2018 E63s saloon. Just had to sign up via the MercedesMe app - provides for remote start, valet protect, trip logging, etc.
