843 hp V8 hybrid. Is this where AMG is heading?

No more MB:(
Looks like the interim step until full EV. This will likely be the new norm for AMG assuming E performance will be implemented across the board. Should put up some sick track numbers. Monster.

I’ve seen a few 48V issues here and there on the forums, but the problem is overblown. Lots of 53 owners like myself haven’t had issues. I had an error pop up once, never came back. That was the extent of my issues.
That said, the e performance setup is much more complicated than the 53 setup.

Porsche Cayenne S, Porsche GT3 RS
Sort of on topic, sort of separate, but I thought it was interesting that the range-topping Cayenne Turbo GT ditches the hybrid tech in the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid and instead, gets a new 630hp twin turbo V8 (that's it, simply an ICE). This is for the Cayenne Coupe lineup. Curious to see what happens in the regular Cayenne lineup and the Panamera lineup

^ Not “new”; it is the Urus engine (less 10hp), and of course the two share a platform. Badge engineering, pure and simple.
The engine is also currently in the Panamera Turbo S models (620hp) without electrification.
Back on topic…big power numbers from the AMG hybrids for sure…but no doubt they will be 5,000lbs. 12km on pure electric? LOL.
