2018 W213 E63S Sedan - 41k miles, rear main seal seal/retainer failure

I'm in Canada, everything will naturally cost much more than US. I will update next weekend for dealer's estimate.

does this seem like a RMS Leak? My thought would be that it would be coming out if the bottom, seems pretty high up, but could be wrong. Also the rear crankcase cover with seal is showing as being discontinued. So not sure how to fix this… lol

I am in Canada and out of orig. factory warranty btw. Dealer quoted me:
15 hrs (roughly 3 days) x $170 shop rate = $2,550 Cdn + 13% taxes on labor alone
parts of around $400 + taxes for the RMS
(Tech will evaluate the oil separators when he opens up the tranny/engine. If they need to be replaced along with any relevant parts, then parts & labors are extra)
Prelimin projected total $3300 Cdn. (or roughly $2,500 US)
I asked for any breaks but was not given any.
Car will be at dealer for about 4 days (3 days for repair and probably 1 day for the tech to test drive)

My 2019 E63S AMG is in the shop for the second time for oil leak. Rear main seal replaced about a year ago. Now they’re telling me it’s oil separator failure. I have CPO coverage until December 2023 but am being told this will not be covered. How did you get them to agree? It’s aggravating that they don’t want to cover this since it seems to be a common problem.

My car is currently with the dealer and they have inspected the oil separators with no problem, so they have advised me of not to replace them and simply doing the seal as that should fix the oil leak. The car will remain with them as they have to wait for some bolts to be flown in from Germany and will likely take two weeks time.
