Thank you for your suggestion. When the top is down and the windows open the chirps come from the rear back. I’m pretty sure it’s the brake pad (MB says I need factory modified), rear axle or wheel bearings. I do get a little creaking sound from the roof seals and that’s a different frequency than the higher pitched parakeet chirps.

I tried the bedding, no luck. Here was my daily drive again today 9 May 2022.

Did you also try another dealership location to see if that helps?

I’m pretty sure it has to do with something rotating, so brake pads and bearings are the right path. I’ve been able to duplicate this on very smooth roads at low speeds, under 20km/h.
It doesn’t happen all the time for me, so it’s not exactly easy to chase. I had my passenger get out of the car to try to identify where it’s coming from but the problem disappeared.

Keep replying to the thread on Private Lounge, see if other forum members reply to you there as well as replying to the PM the higher up sent you telling them that your local dealership keeps on ignoring you.

MBWorld.org has been more helpful thus far with some members sharing that they have similar chirps.
Unfortunately in Hong Kong there is only one MB HK dealer so I keep getting bounced back to them. I will wait a bit more to see how this plays out.

Yes, just posted on AMG PL if any member has advice/ideas on this unusual situation.

Yes this is like catching a squeaky mouse in a mansion. What is so irritating is that depending on the day, pitch of road, and sharpness of turn, the chirps will just sing and then disappear. After numerous local MB service visits they said they consulted with MB head office and that it was the brake pads. I thought it was the axle or dry ball bearing.

I received a couple emails from different contacts at MB group who only send the issue back to local MB. AMG PL PM same thing. Local MB has not provided me any timeline yet.

Don't worry about going back to a dealership that has both a showroom and a service centre, you could choose to go to the one that only has service (which includes the one that is purely authorized and not owned by MB HK) since you aren't there to look for cars to buy, the alternative to the Zung Fu location seems to be one in Yuen Long since it says the one in Chai Wan is a Brand Centre so I am not sure if it has a service centre. However, despite it saying it is a Brand Centre, it is in fact listed under the service location part of the website so I guess pay them a visit as well if not give them a call?

Sorry to hear that and just to clarify you replied back telling them that the local MB is not responding to you and their only response was to still go back to local MB dealership? Hmmm, if that is the case then that sure is frustrating.

Hopefully things work out, because here in Canada when one dealership doesn't work out I try and shop around in different dealerships (the main differences here in Canada is that every dealership is privately owned by a different company so maybe that is why) to get the problems fixed on my 2017 MB over the years of ownership. I was sorry to hear that you aren't given many dealerships to try, especially when you mentioned only having one. I am hoping the authorized ones listed on MB HK's site will be able to help you out.

Dealer is replacing the front differential on my car to address the noise. Lets see how that goes
The loaner is not consistent with the noise, but it sounds a lot more like OPs noises than my car did

Car is supposedly done. Will post after I pick up today or Monday.
They scuffed my wheel on the alignment rack so that delayed pick up

I see, definitely interesting that they have to replace the front diff on your car, either way hopefully it fixes things for good. Sorry to hear about the scuff on the wheels I hope they make it right and that the restoration is indistinguishable from new.

At least it looks like you have a lovely daily drive! Also, as an ignorant American, driving on that side of the road is really disorienting. In all seriousness, good luck with this. I hope they're able to track this down and get it fixed for you so you can just enjoy the car.
The chirp/squeal sounds usually come after driving a while so maybe the heat warps the disc. Here is another video of my daily drive and some high frequency chirps.

The local MB service wants to replace the discs and pads next week. Let’s see if that works.

Update on my car, it was not the diff. The noise came back even after the front diff was replaced.
Now don't get me wrong, the front diff did break and it developed a new noise so that part has been resolved.
However due to all the felt lining all over the place, my noise is hardly there anymore and it take.quite the rough roads to hear it mildly anymore.
I don't think the noises I'm hearing on my car is from the same source as OP at all anymore.
