Facelift ride quality retrofit
Is it possible to retrofit the 2021 ride quality to a pre facelift car? If so, how? Is it just software or is there a hardware difference? Thanks

you want a stiffer/harsher ride ? That's odd. I say most are looking for a slightly comfortable ride, hence that's on the facelifted version.

My understanding is there is a software and a hardware difference. Different shocks, IIRC?

Sorry - to be clear I am seeking a softer ride in comfort mode for my MY 2019 E63. My understanding is that the facelift has a softer suspension setting in comfort. I would like to know if:

1. Is the softer ride on the facelift cars due to software or hardware? If the sport and sport + are the same I am hopeful that it’s just a software change.
2. If it is software, can this be applied to pre-facelift cars?

Thanks in advance to anyone who has explored this.

Thanks for the reply. I read that thread but had hoped there might be more detail out there. I have an excellent relationship with my service dept. My car goes in for some work in the next couple of weeks and I’ll see if I can get some more specific info to report back with.
