E63s oil leak and leaky dealership?

E63s oil leak and leaky dealership?
My 2019 e63s started leaking oil. It was maybe a quarter sized leak after sitting over night. I take it into the dealership and get no loaner…..is this normal? I’m located in milwaukee and guessing I may have to take our vehicles to Chicago for service?

the oil leak is a failing rear motor seal, covered under warranty. My question is more about getting a loaner. This is the first time I’ve had to take this car in and assumed being Mercedes’ that I would get a loaner…. No, they’re selling all the courtesy vehicles .

Rear crank seal? Dude these are happening regularly.
No clue about the loaners, depends on the dealership. My BMW dealer always has loaners for me, but for some reason my Merc that cost nearly 3x the BMW doesn't warrant a GLC300

oh wow, that’s crazy. When you say “regularly,” will this be like an every few years thing? Man, I’m gonna have to check the cost out.

Dealer dependent
This is a dealer or service writer dependent thing. I get a loaner even though I’m out of warranty and didn’t buy the car from the dealer. All depends if you planned or asked ahead sometimes.
This is also the perfect opportunity to find a better dealer experience. I get that sales are low and slow but you should have mentioned that it’s very easy to choose another brand or service rep. Aftercare is more important to a dealerships bottom line than sales.
Hopefully your next experiences are better. In northwest Baltimore County, they are pretty great imo.

Sorry, to clarify I'm seeing that many E63's will need that service done, and it shouldn't be a thing. Definitely a design flaw in the M177.

In our area all MB dealers provide loaners , but my neighbor mentioned that they lived in the midwest and their MB dealer did not provide loaners .Can't recall exact city as this happened 10 years ago , so basically providing loaners to customers is a courtesy service that some dealers provide , and some don't
I know for sure from my friend that is a GM at a local MB dealership that the factory compensate them a certain daily rate for providing loaners , but I am not sure if they break even or not

I’m getting that rear main seal fixed now. I asked about getting a loaner when I called to set up the service appointment but the loaner availability/appointment was about 10 days out. I wanted to get my car fixed sooner than later so I opted to not wait for a loaner. The dealerships have been selling their loaner cars due to all the supply issues so loaners are limited.
