No I haven't measured but seat positioning is a huge negative. As you know I've had two 2021 wagons and both suffered with same exact problem. I was hoping it was a defect on my first one. I just can't position the seat low enough in the position I desire. Frustrating. I like to be cradled a bit with support under my thighs (seat base tipped back) with a very straight back. In the 213 E63 the seat won't go low enough (and I'm only 5 11) and my head is literally an inch away from the headliner.

AMG E63 Hammer Wagon. Alfa, Rover, Ferrari, Porsche.
You must have your seat reclined and/or have short torso/long legs proportions? I’m 6-1 and my head is very close to the headliner, but I have a long torso and prefer an upright seating position (bent elbows) that I suspect others here utilize as well.

^^^Referring to my experience with the seats in my wagons, Harris Could never get them adjusted properly without feeling like my head was almost up against the glass roof. Hopefully, 2023 is the charm.

We've witnessed this to some extent with the refresh. Will Mercedes ruin the next iteration E63? Probably not. But it'll likely be further diluted, yet another step away from its great heritage.

Diluted with a hybrid V8 engine and electric motor, heavy battery, and too much complexity between them all. Plus fake spaceship and engine noises to hide it. And capacitive controls for everything that's not otherwise on the touchscreen.

I was thinking of calling the new cars sales manager again today to double check that they have some sort of alarm or order review process to contact me when we absolutely have to pull the trigger CCB or no CCB. My fear is that the next time I'm needy and contact them they'll just say "yeah, now is good" and fill the order to scratch me off their to-do list LOL. <shrug>

Performance seats are sexy but not sure I'd want them over the comfort seats for wagon as a daily-driver, Harris. Nevertheless, would've spec'd them, if available, and taken the risk. I sat in them once long ago but forget how they felt.

Also, per your earlier comment about the dilution of the next gen E63: it's not going to be diluted, it's going extinct. The highest model in the E range is going to be the E53 with the same garbage drivetrain as the new C63 E Performance. No more V8, these are the last ones. You should have hung on to yours.
