I also placed an order with my local dealer for a 2023 E63 wagon. However, the dealer was very clear that it was a coin toss on whether the order resulted in an actual allocation. I'm crossing my fingers my order is accepted and my car built by Mercedes.

^^^Exactly. At this point, there are no real orders being placed. Simply indications of interest...

Maybe 9 of their half-fast Final Editions but there should be many more regular build slots opening up on-demand.
I suspect a mild hybrid V8 with enhanced electrical architecture (similar to what's found in Panamera) will superior to non-hybrid. Who knows. Only time will tell. Crazy world. Hard to predict anything right now.

Trying to keep my mind off stuff today by obsessing over details of new build. It will be amazing and never done before in E63 wagon. Now just need supply chain and MB to get their acts together.

They have quite a few rather major issues across the pond now and looming in the near future. I've been wondering how it's going to affect the EU manufacturing base. Can't be good...

Exclusive leather is a problem. Primary source was the Ukraine. Not sure if there is an alternative source for the E63S. Maybe Belgium? Other items are problematic like windshields for HUD and IR. I'm certain that the wagons can be built, but some options might be unavailable. The question is will you be satisfied if one of the options you specified is not buildable for your vehicle. Basically, it could be a crap shoot.

My dealer says no wagon orders for Canada. I’ve been asking for a while and keep asking. They will gladly take my money for a sedan and when I tell them I’m only interested in another wagon they stick with “sorry none are coming”. At first they said they’d find out but now it’s just “sorry”.

Have there been any updates? I was told that I am #5 on the list at my dealer and they are forecasted to get 12. That seems like an awfully ambitious forecast based on estimated units produced for the US.

Given my experience in trying to orders cars from Audi/MB/Porsche over the past 12-18 months, I would recommend having a backup plan. Allocations are so difficult to get now for anything special. I find that the manufacturers are mostly ignoring special orders and just producing cars for dealers to take and then charge a markup. It's frustrating to say the least.
