Ambient lights around MBUX screen

Anyone know how to turn on ambient lights around the MBUX screen? I’ve seen it on to match the trim lighting, but I can’t figure out what setting does that.

also, is there a good write up anywhere on the lighting menus and what all the settings actually do? It’s a bit confusing, I can’t figure it out. 🤷‍♂️

Yes that's exactly what I'm talking about, and no they are not. The lower portion of the screen has a faint light, but not the top. Would you please take a picture of your menu setting and post? May thanks brother.

Top LED light was removed in FL MBUX cars. There's no separate setting for the screen lights, it just matches the rest of the ambient lighting.

YO how bad did they mess up the FL cars? Removing ambient light, the IWC Clock, no performance seats just to name a few??? Lame.

That's not all, exterior door handle lights, the R button on the driver side to control the passenger seat, the net (most models) on the passenger side.

They "brought back" IWC on the W206 C 63s e performance in the form of an option to be display in the infotainment, but technically, that isn't bringing it back lol.

As mentioned by someone else, stands for facelift MBUX (the name of the infotainment system you have), the previous one was COMAND.

Reason they removed it was probably due to cost cutting... although some might blame chip shortage instead, maybe.

Hmmm? I mean if you liked MBUX I don't think that is a trade off, many prefer MBUX over COMAND.

So the trade offs are:

IWC
more aggressive exhaust note
led around infotainment
Savings of about $20K-$30K

or

most epic f’in grille and tail in the business

im not gonna lie, it’s actually really tough.

but this kinda wins for me. 🤷‍♂️

wish they designed the headlights better, just looks lazy to me. The rear end however, does look miles better than the pre fl

im impartial about the headlights. I think they’re excited about all the stuff inside that I don’t understand lol.

the tail is dialed for sure. The lights going across the trunk lid is legit.

There are more things

Pre facelift has also passenger seat control with a button on the driver side

Facelift has new suspension components making it more comfy

Dont think they change the wagon for the rear so doesnt even matter to me
personally love the Prefacelift myself

everyone mentioned the comfort. I’ve driven the pre facelift once, and didn’t find it to be uncomfortable. The FL in comfort mode is fine, I didn’t see anything “special” about it other that it drove like a normal e class. In S+ it’s stiff but not M5 stiff. I don’t know, I think it comes down to aesthetic.

but I will admit, there are things about the pre fl that I’m missing, or rather things I’d like to have. Most notably is the exhaust. My fl sounds fine. But just fine; it would be great if it sounded insane.
