Cold Air intake, Blackboost or Armaspeed
When considering getting a cold air intake from what I can find the best 2 options are blackboost and Armaspeed. If there are other good options let me know.
would like to hear from people that have 1 or the other and why they chose the one they did, and if they are satisfied with their decision.

X3M to E63S here. Only regret is the Benz aftermarket is either ridiculously expensive or overly complicated. The only tune I’d like (Renntech HHT) is 4K and all the diagnostics I’d use are remote from the UK. Love the car though

I don’t think it’s anymore complicated than tuning the M cars. It was always OBD and laptop. No issues ever except getting locked out from dealer. The cost for tuning is more money for sure. I reached out to the guys at PTG and the dudes were great. Super fast responses and great knowledge. It’s more components to tune on these than M cars. I’m only looking for a clean factory look on this one with minor bolt on’s. I’ll tune once outta warranty.

On my M6 I had the charcoal filters out, drop in filters in and JB+ on in a half hour. The X3M was a little more difficult but less than an hour. Now I still don’t have a clear understanding how much ECU tune yields without CPC or TCU. And other than the HHT the OBD tunes involve swapping computer files on a handheld. BM3 you downloaded and installed. Makes more hesitant to tune at all

I've got a used Armaspeed intake available if anyone is interested. Swapped it out for the PTG box with the bigger turbo inlet pipes to match the PTG1000 turbos on my car. PM me if interested.

Do they have any numbers to show how much gains? Or pretty much all intakes are the same except for quality built and fitments.
