MO1 tires/Michelin Sport 4s
Just got all 4 tires replaced at the dealer. However, i only found the MO1 marking on the front tires….. anyone find the same? I was under the impression all 4 tires would be MO1

Technically, they are, but the PS4S has been hard to get, even harder in manufacturer specs. Not all that big of deal. I've been using the standard PS4S on my '19 C63S coupe. MO1 only became available recently for my sizes, but as said, hard to get. Tirerack has yours in stock, though. I would never get tires directly from a dealer. Just source your own tires and take them to a reputable shop for installation.

Yes, there is, but the specifics are generally not published. The Inside AMG video below, though gives you an idea. The second video is more specific about how the BMW Star variant differs from the standard PS4S. That also gives you an idea that they can be quite different. I've been wanting to give the BMW variant a go, because I mainly drive in the dry and like how they made it closer to the Cup 2 by giving up some of the PS4S wet performance in favor of additional dry performance, but still keep it a street performance tire. But last time I needed a new set they were backordered indefinitely.

Interesting. I suppose for everyday daily driving one may never feel the difference though. I wanted to go up one or even two width sizes for a little more bulge for more rim protection from any curb rash. Unfortunately mo1 tires are limited in size to oe spec. I dont track the car so I doubt I would notice a difference

I asked MO1 tires to MB customer service, they told me to contact Michelin customer service and gave their 800 phone number. My OEM tires were 21" Conti 6 MO1 summer tires. I switched to 20" Michelin Alpine M01 for winters. Then I switched the summers to only all seasons available for 21" which are Michelin T0 Tesla OEM tires and they are so far very good in daily driving... I doubt you will notice it unless you are pushing them in the track...

If you talk to a rep at TireRack, they have access to the specs. The width of the MO1 tire was surprisingly different than the standard, so I chose to wait for MO1 to be back in stock. That was a year ago.

I was investigation the option to buy new tires last spring (22). I live in Sweden, so maybe it does not apply to the whole world. But I was told by several dealers (I went to 2 or 3) that the Mercedes Michelin PS4, M01 (the one my 21' E63S) is not manufactured anymore. One dealer said it stopped production 2020 even. They said that after the war stated in ukr sourcing of some of the tires was impossible.
This was however a year ago, maybe Michelin has stared the production again in another country. I didn´t however replace any tires last year.
edit (just checked on the biggest site online and they have the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S / M01, 265/35 ZR20 and the 295/30 ZR20 in stock)
