Catted downpipes
Guys I’m beginning my mild build. For those of you running catted downpipes what brand did you run? What did you do about a CEL? Plan is to tune last. Currently running Renntech EVM and VTA, spacers. Have ordered the suspension module and about to order my RK carbon items. Just planning the rest. Thank you

Eurocharged Performance ML63 and TT lambo
If you have emissions GESI gen 2 (400 cell) downpipes will pass.
We use and recommend redstar. Fitment is perfect.
If you go with other varieties of downpipes, they you could trigger a cel. Tune can turn it off (cel) but you won't pass emissions as it will show not ready (from any tuner)

Damn so my assumption was that if I did catted pipes I wouldn't have a CEL. I'm not seeing O2 spacers as a reliable option for keeping it off. Sounds sick. Quick question, is installing catted pipes the same procedure as de cats? Drop tranny or cut?

these are catless. it says right on the video. sounds way too good to be catted. i went from catless to catted renntech downpipes and it sounds ok. no CEL. im putting the catless back on though. no emissions testing here and the car sounded so much louder with catless and virtually unchanged tone in comfort mode. only downside is the fuel smell. for what its worth Redstar is the way to go. they have the HJS cats and will not throw a cel.

Ah darn so even with 400CEL you can still smell gasoline!! Is it really bad? Or its night and day vs non catted DP?
Maybe just a tune is good enough for some extra ponies and add some extra pops in there to make it a bit louder. Car is plenty fast already in stock form so maybe DP may not be my route to go.

Im currently running red star catless DPs with heatshield and AMR stage 2 tune with burble and no CEL. O2 spacers are also installed.
Only drawback is the smell of fuel though, sometimes its too much, sometimes its meh. Most time, when driving with the windows down, you might smell like you leaked fuel on yourself.
But the sound is just crazy, crazy good.
