2023 E63S Sedan

I keep commenting on threads either about wagons or final editions, I don’t think I’ve seen an actual thread just for the 2023 sedan coming to the US.

I have a 2023 sedan sitting at the Baltimore VPC since the beginning of March, heard today from my dealer that it’s not yet cleared for sale.

We are still waiting for certification and release of the 2023 E63’s. They are showing mid-march on their timeline, so hopefully it is any day now.”

Curious if there are others out there waiting or anyone that can offer more insight into when they’ll be cleared.

I'm waiting just to see mine shipped. Mine is apparently B6-02.1 status, but "Planned Delivery Date" (aka Planned Invoice Date) was 03-19 but it's still B6-02.1 status, so no idea what the holdup is? I am keeping an eye on Wallenius Wilhelmsen site to see it pop up via CUST REF #. It does say "Freeze Status: Frozen" but that might just be in relation to frozen changes to config since it was already built.

Is there anyone with access to Canadian PO/VIN to give updates? The thread here is mostly monitored by US Mercedes staff, which is cool, but was hoping for a Canadian version.

No movement as of today. @mercedesmax was right, it’s the bureaucracy around DOT certification that’s holding it up, so hopefully it’s soon.

Picked my 2023 up Thursday. Traded in a 2018
so getting used to the new MBUX interface. So far much smooth ride than my old car, even on summers. Break in period is 1000 miles so haven't gotten to listen to the exhaust that much.

So you really feel that the updated suspension (parts and programming) are smoother than pre-facelift? Always been debated how much difference it was.

Definitely a difference driving one car to the dealer and the other car back. The 2018 going to the dealer had Continental all seasons, which are a softer ride even. The 2023 has summer tires. Additionally the shift feels smoother but again havnt pushed the car due to break in.

Twins with fossa (I picked up an allocation that was locked in production so I couldn’t customize)

[QUOTE=MDLSLK55;8764547]Twins with Fossa

The specs were mostly already pre picked for me. That's awesome man, I actually could not option the black forged wheels. I asked multiple times to get it changed. I was told it was unavailable. I'm going to have to order them or another aftermarket pair myself.

I’m just happy Michelins are finally back and I didn’t get stuck with a substitute.

If I were optioning myself I probably would have picked a different exterior color and might have considered soft close doors, heated rear seats, headliner, and possibly the exterior carbon option for mirrors and spoiler. It has pretty much every other package/option (besides CCB).

^^^Beautiful E63. Not a fan of matte paint but the Selenite is my favorite. Gorgeous paint. I'd probably get it fully wrapped using the Stek matte film.

Yep, I’ve had it lined up to get a full wrap in SunTek matte and ceramic but the wait to get it has messed with the schedule. Just waiting to confirm a date, hopefully before end of month.
