Wagon sunroof creak
Hi,
have a 2018 e63 wagon. Car has lots of creaks, but there is one in particular that is driving me nuts. I have it when the sunroof shade is in closed position (right up front). If i open it just a tad, the creak goes away.
anyone dealt with it? How to fix it?

check to see the rail/track of the panoroof is tight. The roof liner may need to be removed so you can check t.
i had the creaking/rattling issue when it was mew and took may investigations to identify the issue which was a loose rail track

We had that problem with our 2020 e63 wagon. Have someone else drive, and sit in the back seat so that you can reach in under the liner. I found that there was one cable that was rattling a bit. Stuffed a microfibre cloth in as a test and it worked. Took it to MB, and they acknowledged that there should have been some kind of covering over the cable. They fixed it up and never a problem again. Good luck.

The car’s at our other place right now, but sit in the back seat, reach under the lining behind the sun roof and feel for the cables going across from left to right. That was the problem in our case. If someone else is driving through an area where it happens a lot, you’ll find it in no time.
