I recently bought these puddle lights from ebay and installed them. The process was fairly simple, involved removing the wing mirror housing, the mirror itself and undoing 4 T10 hex screws to get the back cover plate and 360 camera out of the way. Once installed however, I noticed that the lights were slightly askew (not square to the vehicle body). Has anybody installed similar lights and experienced a similar issue with the angling of the light? Let me know your experience in this thread Passenger side light, viewed from the front Driver side light, viewed from the front Driver side light, viewed from the side Passenger side light, viewed from the side
I had some cheap ebay lower door puddle lights. Not sure if design is the same as the mirror lights. See if you can take it apart (remove the lens and mask from the housing) and rotate the mask as needed.
My lights do the same. The offset is the same on both sides so I am not sure that they were not designed that way. Slightly bothered me at first but nobody else notices and I constantly get compliments.

Yeah, I'm slightly inclined to think they're meant to be that way. I also have a high tendency for being OCD about things being square, level, etc... so it's likely I'm being way more critical than anyone would ever be. I think i'll end up just leaving them as-is and not trying to mess with any rotation.

I totally relate to this. Be happy that at least both sides are equal.
The previous owner of my car used license plate screws that were too long and it caused the license plate mounting plate to bow out slightly. This is something that most likely not another human on this earth would ever notice or care about, but it bothered me, lol.
So I had to spend around $60 to replace it with a genuine MB part. I need help, lol.

Lol, anything in the chase for perfection. Respect.
Any tricks to removing the mirror housing and mirror, or did it just pop off with a spudging tool?
Very carefully! It supposedly pops right off with a trim tool, but one of the plastic tabs on my OEM mirror housing broke in the process of my popping mine off. Luckily I was replacing them with CF ones anyway.
