Greetings All:
I am on a list for a sedan with a " very large" dealer and am next on the list for an allocation spot. Upon my monthly check-ins with them (deposit was in October 2022), They still tell me they haven't heard about an allocation but this begs the larger question - is this car actually still being manufactured? I see a lot of cars inbound for customers on cars.com/MB website etc. but wondering if I should just give up hope for new production? I have another friend with a June/July production so that sort of tells me these are still being made but unsure whats really true at this point.
Any insight you can provide would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Short answer is NO! Production stopped in April for 2023. If your "large" dealer has an inbound car, see if you can get it assigned.
No new allocations for Sedan either. My first attempt in mid-Feb got rejected a few weeks later. I only ended up getting one because I phoned around and another dealership had ordered one back in Oct 2022, didn't ship until March, finally landed at dealership end of April. (I am speaking about Canada, but the allocations being over issue is global I believe.)
It was already posted on a couple of other threads. AMG confirmed back in Feb that new orders are no longer possible. Allocations had all been given out and if your order hasn't been picked up by the factory already it's not gonna happen. A bunch of dealers have so called Hail Mary orders in the system, hoping MB will change their mind and pick up a few of those, but effectively there are no more allocations coming. Your dealership is stringing you along.
It wouldn't be the strangest thing MB has done recently to build a few more before end of the year if EV sales are strong enough to offset the CAFE hit.
Although it certainly may be, my (large So Cal) dealer hasn't received the memo that production is over. Maybe just poorly informed (would not surprise me at all), but they have nothing to gain by stringing me along. Of course I'm not getting my hopes up...
You all should ask your dealerships about a bulletin on NetStar dated 05/16/2023 where it clearly says " production stop."
if your car did not make the cut off, chances you won't see it.

New allocations stopped months ago. Only the FE cars have been allocated since, but they aren't changeable. The last cars are being built in June and July but they are not locked and can't be changed.
